While in the United Kindom, I had an interview with Sky News. During the interview, I argue that the Oil our Country is producing is the only natural reserve that we have and that it needs to be used as a stepping stone in developing the Country and its citizens.

I am honoured to be receiving this "FIN Best of Africa Award" here in the United Kingdom. On behalf of my dedicated and committed team at the Ministry of Petroleum. Without whom, this could not have been possible. The success of any leader largely depends on the dedication, commitment, trust and discipline of his or her team and people.

Our stability, success and noticeable professionalism at the Ministry of Petroleum would not have been possible if it was not for the individual dedication, commitment and discipline of my Team at the Ministry and the trust of our president and the citizen of the Republic of South Sudan.

Therefore, I would like to personally, dedicate this Award to the leadership of R-TGoNU, in person of the president of our beloved country H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit, for entrusting me with the management of this crucial institution, which contributes more than 85% of the Government’s Annual budget.

To my dedicated and committed team at the Ministry of Petroleum, and mostly to the people of the Republic of South Sudan for entrusting us with their crucial national resources.

Last but not least, to my beloved family specially my wife who has stood by me from day one despite all the challenges and high expectations that come with the responsibility of managing such an important institution in the country.
