Just learning of this today. That would be so cool. Everything from legal training to our legal institutions is to oriented towards rewarding litigation practice.

Non-litigation lawyers have to rely on foreign endorsements like Chambers, Legal500 etc.

A local equivalent with equivalent requirements for non-litigation lawyers would be a good development

Twenty-four years after I attended my first Annual General Conference as a newly called lawyer and watched the baton of leadership pass to a new President, I stood before the same Association today to receive it myself.

I receive this office with gratitude for those who ran before me, humility for the trust placed in me, and a solemn determination to run my own leg faithfully.

May it be said, when this tenure is over, that the Bar became bolder; that lawyers felt seen, protected and empowered; and that we left the Nigerian Bar Association stronger than we met it.

Ever since she left us alone in this evil world, we’ve been eating and drinking fake products because that woman looked out for us for real. If there is Heaven, she is there. A queen and more. Nobody is indispensable, but some people are irreplaceable. There have been other NAFDAC leaders, yet Nigeria remembers only Dora Akuyili.

Back then, girls wanted to be like Dora Akunyili, Oby Ezekwesili, and Ngozi Okonjo Iweala. You need to see the way girls emulated the walking step and oratory of these great women. Girls had vision then. But these days, they’re emulating internet whores and influencers.

Prof. Dora Akunyili showed us that we can fix any system in this country if we are serious and unbiased. She's Top 2 Nigerians to ever exist, and she is not number 2.
