It was fantastic to join the St Lawrence School Bike Bus in Molesey, where kids and their families bike to school together each week.

It was so much fun - while reducing congestion and pollution on our local streets, it also improves pupil’s physical and mental wellbeing - helping children start the day energised, confident and ready to learn.

Most of all, the Bike Bus is so much more than just a journey to school - it’s a movement for healthier and happier communities. I was delighted to see not only the smiles across the faces of those riding to school, but also of the people who waved to it as it went through Molesey. A brilliant idea which it would be great to extend to other Esher and Walton schools!
