Wendy Kukowski is now speaking of her lost soulmate, Oscar, who was killed by a tractor trailer. He was the "unofficial mayor of Metuchen", deeply embedded and loved in his community. But now, he needs the community's help.
Our next speaker is Kate O'Connor, whose brother was 25 when he was hit by a speeding, distracted driver, and spent two more years in a hospital fighting for his life. Kate should not have had to watch her brother die - "this was not an accident, this was preventable"
Next up is an aid to @GovMurphy, reading a letter in support of today's event. "Our hearts weigh heavy for families who have lost a loved one, and victims who have been seriously injured by road traffic violence." #WDoR2020#VisionZeroNJ
Today is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, and we need #VisionZeroNJ to stop the more than 600 preventable deaths on NJ roads every year. Tell @NJDOT@GovMurphy you support safe roads: https://t.co/qtNhEQBv8m

Join us virtually for World Day of Remembrance this Sunday at 11 am to honor the 600 New Jerseyans and 40,000 Americans who die every year on our roads and demand safe roads for everyone. #WDoR2020#SpeedKills https://t.co/N8qk1Osjuu
"Vision Zero was introduced in 1995. It has been variously adopted in different countries or smaller jurisdictions, although its description varies significantly." https://t.co/imtRG5BWZ5
Join us virtually Sunday at 11 am for World Day of Remembrance to honor those who have died on our roads. We build our roads for speed, not safety - but it doesn't have to be this way. #WDoR2020#VisionZeroNJ https://t.co/N8qk1Osjuu
