@L0m3z I always found it added to the movie (over time) that he ends up going to Cal Poly on an engineering scholarship-which would have put him in several booming economic cycles in California. Pa would not have given him the same opportunities.
@stevemagness Nothing is easier in races than locking on to someoneโs shoulder (visually and mentally) and just having your brain do absolutely zero thought. You literally just stare at a piece of cloth in front of you.I think pacing lights probably have a +effect of diminishing mental load.
@Just1B4IDMN@Vikings Tremendous college qb. Will be solid backup and part time starter for a decade in NFL. But hard to see him getting into the top 10-15 of NFL QBs.
@TRappaRT The reality is that it doesnโt matter if Shedeur is a backup at best-the fans do not want Watson and do want to give someone else a chance. Give Shedeur a season and then make him a backup or cut him or start him or whatever-just no Deshaun!
@stevemagness And some of baseball really is endurance. A starting pitcher is out there for an hour or two on and off and probably is on the field for 3-5 hours counting pregame.
@stevemagness Building endurance helps you do more speed work and recover from it faster. And it will help a player maintain power over the course of a game.
@GeorgeOnTap How fast you process information on a football field cannot be tested off the football field. Does anyone think Tom Brady would be the GOAT at any other job than being a QB? does anyone think the best chess player or investor in the world would be able to read a defense?
@_S_choir #1 at a low ranked law school is very attractive to employers bc it means the student is a hard worker. And some of the best lawyers in the country had bad grades at low ranked schools. Law is fairer than most fields. But going to a top ranked school makes it easier to get jobs.
@JosephShirley87 If you are a healthy 25 year old man who ran track or played soccer growing up and are the right body type for a marathoner and have have run consistently for several years and you run 60 miles a week for 10-12 week and the course if flat and it is not hot yes, you should break 3
@JosephShirley87 When I was 22, after 7 years of running track, I could run 6:50 pace falling out of bed and a sub-3 marathon on 15 miles a weekโso could many people. At 52, 6:50 is my 5k pace and 60 miles a week would not yield a sub 3.
@stevemagness@Brady_H Also treadmills are harder in funky ways: exact constant speed means you never even have a half second rest or variation; and there is something the brain doesnโt like about running on a tm-there is a little trepidation (5:00 pace on a tm feels dangerous but outside does not)
@stevemagness@Brady_H Yes. And incline doesnโt fix the issue that makes the treadmill faster-it just adds an unrelated difficulty. It is like putting a pebble in your shoe to make faster speeds more difficult on treadmill.
@embiidsexual@MrOH1O Indiana will drop off just because that is what happens after you win. Human nature. Canโt catch lightning in a bottle twice in a row, and every national championship by any team is lightning in a bottle. No knock on Indiana just life
@MrOH1O I respect the cockiness. Why not? They are the champions. I think they will learn that repeating never happens just because of human nature but no reason for them yo be modest.
@incitafusio But it is not acceptance rates that matter it is qualifications of the students who get in. The โtheyโ in your post-the students who get in-are likely students who are exceeding standards. And students should not be blamed because others at their school do poorly.
