Britain now faces exactly the trap I warned Europe was heading toward. Deindustrialization combined with rising debt and declining living standards. Manufacturing weakens, capital flees, energy costs rise, and governments respond with more taxation and regulation which only accelerates the collapse further. This becomes a vicious cycle.

Building 1 GW of solar capacity is not clean.

It requires around 18.5 tons of silver.
3,400 tons of polysilicon.
And more than 10,000 tons of aluminum.

Producing the polysilicon alone consumes thousands of tons of quartz, coal, petroleum, coke, charcoal, and wood chips.

Refining the silver for 1 GW uses roughly 4,600 megawatt hours of electricity, the annual power use of 400 U.S. homes.

Producing the aluminum consumes nearly 2 million gigajoules of energy, enough to power more than 100,000 households for a year.

Solar power is built with massive fossil energy inputs. Only the output is labeled "green." These are the realities campaigners never want to talk about.

When I checked out some processed food packaging in @waitrose this morning, I noticed that amongst the dozens of ingredients was the ubiquitous Rapeseed Oil. These products must be avoided.

The phrase "vegetable oil" is one of the great marketing achievements of the 20th century.

It is not made from vegetables. It is made from seeds.

The seeds in question are not eaten as food in any traditional cuisine on earth, because they are nearly inedible until industrially processed.

"Vegetable" was chosen because it tested better in focus groups than "industrial seed extract", which is what it is.

The marketing has held for 110 years.

That is impressive in its own way.

At 6.30pm on August 14, 2020, California's grid found itself 1,000 megawatts short, resulting in more than 800,000 customers losing power.

The official investigation concluded that California lacked enough dispatchable capacity (i.e. fossil fuels) and relied too heavily on intermittent renewables.

The state failed to plan for a system where solar output collapses at sunset, just as demand rises.

During the blackout, it turned to gas and emergency imports just to stabilize the grid.

This is where we are today. It's called the 'duck curve': Solar floods the grid at midday, forcing curtailments, then abruptly disappears at sunset, creating a sudden, extreme shortfall.

California is effectively paying for two energy infrastructures. One for day. One for night. When gas and/or nuclear could run it all for a fraction of the cost.

Spain once had the fastest growing solar sector in Europe. A 2007 subsidy law guaranteed huge fixed payments for solar electricity, and investors poured in.

Then the economics collapsed, and the government couldn't afford the scheme.

Between 2010 and 2012, Spain retroactively cut the subsidies it had already promised. Thousands of solar operators went bankrupt, with more than 62,000 investors hit. Banks wrote off $30 billion. And international investors sued Spain in more than 40 arbitration cases.

Across the country, half-built and abandoned solar farms sit idle. Ghost infrastructure from a failed policy.

Spain tried to engineer a solar boom with subsidies. Instead, it produced one of the largest renewable bankruptcies in the world.

By 2050, the world is forecast to face 43 million tons of decommissioned wind turbine blades.

These blades are built from high-strength composites made to survive years of weathering. Still, every single turbine standing today will age out before 2050.

Most are difficult to recycle. So most are likely to be buried. But Europe now has a landfill ban for blades coming into force.

Nations like Germany, Finland and the Netherlands are already blocking landfills. But they still have blades to dispose of. So the waste is pushed elsewhere. Blades are exported to countries where burial is still allowed, such as the UK.

Any proposed "solutions" to landfill are tiny. A handful of blades become park benches or playgrounds. But 43 million tons does not fit into park furniture.

Net Zero creates a mountain of composite waste, but then has the audacity to call itself "green".

@jemmm85517813 We two doctors were not baffled in 2021. We avoided the experimental mRNA "vaccines" and advised family and friends to do likewise. Sadly, we've seen family members since damaged and have also noted unusual sudden deaths and cancers within our friends.

Friend has just waited 14 hours for an ambulance to arrive. She should have been seen immediately (imho as a former GP.). She needed urgent first aid & was told it could not be done at the Local Minor Accident Unit, despite the fact that what she really needed was a sterile pressure dressing. She had to sit awake all night in a chair & is post op hip operation waiting another 12 months for the second. We no longer have an NHS…We have a shambolic inadequate emergency service in Wales. It was so much better 20 years ago.

Most doctors are baffled …many like Prof Angus Dagleish & others knew that we would see a n increase in cancers because the covid injections contain SV40 & also suppress the body’s immune mechanisms. At least 17 mechanisms have been described by which covid injections can lead to cancers.

Wind farms are spreading fast across UK moorland, and the impact on birds is measurable.

The numbers show breeding density drops by up to 53% within 500 meters of a turbine. Golden plover fall by up to 79% within 400 meters. While curlew and snipe decline during construction and do not recover.

Collision risk is another issue, but disturbance and habitat loss are the far bigger drivers of population decline.

The effect is consistent:
Wherever turbines are built there are far fewer birds.
