“Let nothing disturb you, Let nothing frighten you, All things are passing away: God never changes. Patience obtains all things. Whoever has God lacks nothing; God alone suffices.” - Teresa of Ávila
@bradleybrisco I think I may have been referring to the last chapter of his book, “Leadership on the Line.” I’m away now but, if I remember correctly, the chapter was titled, “Sacred Heart.” Good stuff.
"Our deepest, truest longing is for community, a place where we are loved and known-a place where we belong. And the church is not the church unless it can satisfy this longing." - Brian Sanders
#microchurches
The church doesn’t just SEND missionaries; the church IS the missionary.
Individually and collectively as the body of Christ, we are a sent, missionary entity.
“Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which Christ’s compassion is to look out to the world...yours are the hands with which God is to bless people now.” Teresa of Avila
"It is LOVE that is the final defense of the faith. Jesus actually expected no other kind of apologetic when he said that is is by our love that the world will know we are his disciples (Johns 13:34-35). Love is therefore the defining mark of authenticity."

"The presence of God is hidden in plain sight. We find Him not by diligent struggle but through the clarity of vision that simplicity gives." Kevin Grenier
Courage is the form of every virtue at the testing point...'" C.S. Lewis
In a time of uncertainty, it takes courage to do almost anything eternal. It will take courage to care, trust, connect, love and even hope.
