@JoshHall2024 Post a recording of him saying that? There's no federal mo ey involved. The center is owned by the City of Chicago and operated and funded by the Obama foundation. It was built with private funds except for the $200 million in infrastructure costs paid by the city and state.

@Suzierizzo1 Can't happen. Changes to the White House have never needed congressional approval. In theory Commision on Fine Arts and the National Capital Planning Commision are the bodies that need to approve it. They both have. The only role Congress has is to funding.

Although not strictly legal, it's not something anyone will fight. It's much like Obama issuing the DACA program.
