@ProvisionistP X is not a mission field.
We’re here because we’re opinionated, and we want to present and argue our case.
It’s a gladiatorial arena.
The real mission field is outside.
The longer time lasts, the more people will be born and grow up only to be lost and end up in the lake of fire. The lost are the majority of humanity, so the question is just how big does God want the lake of fire to be, or conversely, what is the cutoff number for Heaven?
Of course the cosmic conflict has to run its course. That’s the reason for the “delay”.
I'm SDA (albeit somewhat heretical).
All other Protestants believe in the immortality of the soul, ECT, and a broken Decalogue (including the 4th gone) as do EO and RC.
98% of Christendom is essentially the same.
The Theotokos/Mary thing is a side issue. If Mary is in Heaven anyway, why not ask her to help out, as well as going direct to the Father and Jesus. After all, Jesus is her flesh and blood.
Faith-works issue shouldn't really be divisive because we all believe that a true faith will produce good works. There's just a spectrum there, not a black-and-white division.
There is also a spectrum of beliefs regarding the Eucharist, however this isn't salvific (although the RCC says it can be).
Just random thoughts.
For me, it's all about God's character. Without knowing who God is at His core, it would be difficult to have a deep and loving relationship with Him. I could never love or worship a god that tormented people in some way shape or form for eternity future with no hope of escape, no hope of release, no hope of forgiveness, ho hope of reconciliation, ever.
That's not my God.
@docpresley2020 …and you’re sincerely ignoring or metaphorising away the 4th Commandment. The other 9 in the Decalogue (the Moral Law)? Oh, they’re fine, we’ll keep those.
Our fate is sealed when we die, and in this diseased and dangerous world that might be at any moment. Don’t concern yourself with the timing of the 2nd Coming, just concern yourself with your own salvation today. The 2nd Coming might be decades or even centuries away. We have no idea when. Final events prophecy is open-ended. However when the time approaches we will not be “in darkness”.
Currently there are zero specific signs of Jesus’ soon return.
These charts might be accurate, or not. 🤷
Knock yourself out.

My question would be:
What was different about the angels who decided to follow Lucifer?
Unlike we fallen human beings they were created perfect, unfallen, highly intelligent, presumably with equal access to all the data re your character & government.
All the angels would have had equal access to You and the Father, and equal exposure to You on a relational basis.
Why did they make such an obviously bad 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 choice? Nature? Nurture?
Were the fallen angels set up for the Fall, like Adam and Eve were?
🤷
@FrLillie I respect the EO church, however how do you reconcile ECT with a God who 𝙞𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚. I've read the arguments however they are just cope and don't hold water.
@NtwadumelaBoyze@3AngelsWatchman@JoshuaBarzon We're a lot more relaxed in 🇦🇺. Here is my Sabbath best.
My good Kenyan friend here sometimes wears some beautiful African designs, though!

It's not specifically mentioned until the desert pre-Sinai, however Gen 2:3 is clear, and imo based on the entire Biblical narrative it's beyond reasonable doubt it was observed from Creation onwards. God wouldn't have "blessed and sanctified it" if it wasn't to be held in special regard. Never the twain shall meet, though. 🙂👋
The Commandment is to keep the seventh day holy; how you personally do that is between you and God.
Here's some guidance:
Isaiah 58:13
“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the Lord honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,”
Apart from that you can worship Him every day.
Yes, the idea of Christ cloning His flesh and blood thousands of times daily, and via all manner of fallen priests ( ; 🤮), is so vile and paganistic as to beggar belief that any Christian would believe that, especially among those who profess to follow the Bible (which of course they don't, they follow post-Apostolic, un-Biblical traditions).
Thank Heaven that God looks at the heart, not the label or the worship practices.
