We know that they are lying, they know that they are lying, they even know that we know they are lying, we also know that they know we know they are lying, too...
But they are still lying.
Canada built bridges for bears, and the bears used them.
So did wolves, cougars, elk, moose, lynx, wolverines, bighorn sheep, black bears, deer, and almost everything else trying to cross one of the busiest highways in the Rockies.
The Trans-Canada Highway cuts through Banff National Park for 82 km. For decades, it did what highways do: split habitat in half, severed migration routes, isolated populations, and turned animal movement into roadkill.
So Parks Canada tried something that sounded ridiculous to a lot of people at the time: they built wildlife bridges and tunnels.
They look nice, but they're far from a decoration. Forested overpasses wide enough for grizzlies and elk. Dark underpasses for cougars and black bears. Fencing along the highway to keep animals off the pavement and guide them toward safe crossings.
At the time, critics called it a waste of money and editorials opined that animals would never use them.
Fortunately, animals don't read opinion pieces. Since monitoring began, wildlife have used Banff’s crossings more than 250,000 documented times.
Grizzlies took years to trust them. Elk started testing them while they were still under construction. Different species chose different designs: grizzlies and elk tended to prefer wide, open overpasses, while cougars and black bears often used narrower underpasses.
The results were not subtle. Wildlife-vehicle collisions dropped by more than 80% overall. For elk and deer, they dropped by more than 96%.
Banff now has one of the most studied wildlife crossing systems on Earth, and countries around the world have looked to it as a model.
Hey, Wiener guy! Remember when you called me a "McBigot"? How does it feel now that the Frankenstein you created is coming for you? Every stupid communist learns this history lesson the hard way. Enjoy!
Communists must first destroy everything so they can remake society from the ashes, in their vision. They cannot let you pick your leaders. They cannot let you have nice things, beautiful buildings, clean streets, prosperity. They ruin your life so you *beg* for govt to step in.
I bring home a trapped coyote and let it loose in the kitchen.
Hackles up. Teeth bared. Pissing on the floor.
My wife says, "Get it out."
I tell her that is a very unwelcoming and unchristian way to speak about a future house pet.
The children back into the hallway.
I tell them it's a rescue.
I tell them fences are fear.
I tell them cages are barbaric.
I tell them the old rules were cruel.
I tell them it will domesticate in time.
Then I grab my lunchbox and leave them to live with my principles.
When I get home, there is blood on the floor, and the experts who sold me on compassion are already explaining why nobody could have seen this coming.
Anyway, that's Western migration policy.
This dude actually changed laws making it legal to fuck kids and give people aids on purpose and he’s STILL not left wing enough for the modern democrat party…..
Democrat operative caught on hidden camera admitting how they rigged the 2020 Georgia election, stuffed ballots, lied and kicked out poll watchers from the State Farm Arena, pulled out hidden suitcases of ballots, and ran the same stacks throughout the night until Biden cleared the margin of victory.
Who OWNS John Thune?
He's working against his own self-interests.
With Scott Pressler on the case, this IS Thune’s last term in Congress.
He's REFUSING to do his job and get the votes to pass legislation 85% of Americans want.
So he's owned.
The question is: by who?
There are no words that can describe the extent to which I loathe this cancerous parasite, @BernieSanders. He has achieved nothing in his entire career whereby he has relied on the taxpayers to fund his utopian delusional revolution.
“They’re building an entire city — with no permits.”
Greg Abbott says the developers don’t have approval to do any of the construction they’re talking about.
No permits. No authorization.
You don’t get to build a city outside the rules everyone else follows.
Obama/Brennan Ukraine IO - In the Sunrise Movement hidden recording they said they had all the right politicians in place in Minneapolis to make a revolution happen. Amy Klobuchar is from a suburb there.
Oh Lindsay Lindsay Lindsay. And Obama and Amy Klobachur from Wellstone Action.
Another question here, why did McCain, Graham and Klobuchar visit the Ukraine on of all dates, New Years eve 12-31-2016. Why the urgency on a holiday?
Amy Klobuchar of that dark dreary corner of MN, flew in New years even and stranded these Ukrainian troops. Stole their transportation back! Why the last minute holiday trip? Why strand them for a photo op?
And look, although unmentioned there's Marie Yovanovitch, who testified at the impeachment hearing
John Brennan of the CIA had a real fancy for the Ukraine also. Visiting in April of 2016.
"Some speculated that he intended to open US intelligence resources to Ukrainian leaders about real-time Russian military maneuvers."
On 28 June 1918, Arthur "Bull" Simons was born in New York. He would eventually become one of the most respected special operations leaders in American military history, serving in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and helping shape today’s Special Operations community.
Simons enlisted in the Army in 1941, just months before the United States entered World War II. Volunteering for airborne duty, he quickly earned a reputation as an aggressive and capable leader. During the war he served with the 6th Ranger Battalion in the Pacific, participating in some of the most difficult campaigns against Japanese forces, his most famous the Raid at Cabanatuan in January 1945.
Following World War II, Simons remained in the military and served in Korea, before volunteering for the newly formed U.S. Army Special Forces.
Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, Simons commanded Special Forces units, advised foreign militaries, and deployed repeatedly to Southeast Asia. His reputation for discipline, physical toughness, and meticulous planning earned him the nickname "Bull."
In 1970 Simons was selected to command the ground force for Operation Ivory Coast, the daring raid on the Son Tay prisoner of war camp in North Vietnam. The assault itself was executed almost flawlessly, though the prisoners had been moved months earlier.
After retiring from the Army, Simons assisted Ross Perot in 1979 in organizing the rescue of two Electronic Data Systems employees imprisoned in Iran following the Islamic Revolution. The operation succeeded without military involvement and became the subject of Ken Follett's book On Wings of Eagles.
Bull Simons passed away in 1979, but the generation of Special Forces officers he mentored went on to lead the expansion of Army Special Operations throughout the 1980s and beyond.
His emphasis on disciplined planning, rigorous rehearsals, physical endurance, decentralized leadership, and mission focused execution became foundational principles across the special operations community.
