Moonlight + music… another great #ClassicFMLive (@RoyalAlbertHall) for ‘a little (more) night music’ I’m live @ClassicFM after hours (1-4am) playing Vaughan Williams, George Gershwin, Einaudi, Philip Glass + much more #stayawake
@TiggyWalker@YouTube Congratulations Tiggy, such a hopeful ten minutes. The power of the past, taking care in the now + a sense of a future for them both… so glad I got to see this 🪴
@AngelaRayner Completely agree @AngelaRayner + there’s absolutely no one ‘credible’ to replace him anyway atm agreed? (Really no one). Read this? #Labour
Wonderful #TerryWogan tribute night on BBC4. Repeat of #BlanketyBlank quite an eye opener with Elaine Stritch calming her nerves during a tense moment 🚬 I guess bottom row designated 🚭
Thrills + chills for late night… 🎃 if you’re staying up. Strong coffee, low lights, Mozart, Debussy + Eric Whitacre all adding to the magic ✨I’m live @ClassicFM 1-4am #Halloween
@carlosradioguy Yes, not too far from Tiverton (place called Stoodleigh). My family connection was Crediton for a bit, but mostly brought up in London (raised on Capital) but am sure ‘Radio West’ stuck in my mind when it came to thinking about a job 🤣
@carlosradioguy Trevor Eve was busier… the actors playing head master and his wife were v friendly, I think they were there 3 days, we had to be there over a weekend. I drove past few years back and the house is sort of derelict
@carlosradioguy Coincidentally Pippa Sparks who I worked with years later at GLR (she was travel presenter) played a regular role in the radio station… maybe a studio producer?
@carlosradioguy@itsMrCross I got Gerry Rafferty on the radio other day as I was waiting at traffic lights on Baker Street (a great moment). When I play Vaughan Williams Tallis Fantasia @ClassicFM it always sounds like it’s about to fade into C/Cross Sailing ⛵️
@mrwhiteheadpaul @ClassicFM Glad you enjoyed it Paul… isn’t it great when you hear something for first time and know you want to hear it again… always amazes me how much music is out there to be discovered 😃
#PeterSellers born a century ago today… Sept 8th 1925. Unfinished Schubert wakes up Chance the Gardener in Being There… playing the same opening movement (I’m live @ClassicFM 1-4am)
