🗣️Kylian Mbappé: "I'll be honest, I don't think the World Cup third-place match makes any sense. Once you've missed out on the final, your dream of lifting the trophy is over. Asking players to return a few days later to fight for third place doesn't change that disappointment.

🗣️For me, the World Cup should be about winning it or finishing as runners-up. Third place has no real outcome. Personally, I don't feel it's worth spending our energy on a match that doesn't decide the champions.

🗣️We're all disappointed not to have beaten Spain. Our focus is already on improving and coming back stronger at the next World Cup, not on a third-place game.

🗣️I also believe England aren't excited about playing it either after everything they've gone through. FIFA should seriously consider scrapping the third-place playoff because I don't think it benefits the players or the competition.

This is the rare Democrat actually telling the truth.

Senator John Fetterman just warned that if his party wins the midterms, the country will be in big trouble because there are too many communists working behind the scenes. He didn’t sugarcoat it. He flat-out said it.

While the rest of his party pretends everything is fine and pushes radical agendas, Fetterman is one of the very few willing to call out the communist influence inside the Democrat machine.

He’s been consistent on this. He sees the direction his party is heading and he’s not afraid to say it out loud — even when it makes the rest of them uncomfortable.

Fetterman is the only Democrat with common sense right now. The rest are either in denial or actively helping push the country toward the same failed socialist experiments we’ve seen destroy other nations.

If Democrats take control again, Fetterman says it won’t be good. He’s right.

A US senator killed a 28 year old woman, left her to drown, spent zero days in jail, and then served 40 more years in the Senate. 57 years ago tonight. Almost nobody remembers her name.

57 years ago tonight, July 18 1969, on a tiny island called Chappaquiddick that most Americans could not find on a map, the most infamous car accident in US history happened while the entire world was staring at the sky waiting for men to walk on the moon.

Senator Ted Kennedy left a cottage party for the "Boiler Room Girls," the young women who had worked themselves to exhaustion on his brother Bobby's campaign the year before Bobby was shot, and he drove off with 28 year old Mary Jo Kopechne around 11:15 pm. He said he was taking her to the ferry.

Instead the car went off the Dike Bridge, a narrow wooden bridge with no guardrail, and flipped upside down into the black tidal water of Poucha Pond. Kennedy got out. Mary Jo did not.

And here is the part history never forgave: he did not knock on the lit up house just yards away that had a phone, he did not call police, he walked back to the party and then he went to bed.

He reported it roughly 10 hours later, the next morning, only after two fishermen had already found the car and her body. The diver who pulled her out, John Farrar, said she had likely survived for a while inside an air pocket and might be alive today if anyone had simply called for help that night.

Two days later Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon, and so the greatest achievement in human history shared the front page with a drowned woman and a senator who waited until sunrise.

The punishment for all of it: a guilty plea to leaving the scene, a two month suspended sentence, not a single day served. He kept his Senate seat for 40 more years until he died in 2009, one of the most powerful men in the country.

Strip away the famous last name and you are left with something painfully simple. A young woman trusted the wrong man to drive her home, and he chose himself.

Say her name tonight. Not his. Mary Jo Kopechne.

NASA has officially scrubbed Senator Mark Kelly’s name from every plaque and public display. His seditious actions have permanently tarnished whatever was left of his already shaky reputation.

Kelly wasn’t exactly a model astronaut. He was the only man to orbit the Earth with a strike on his record after being reprimanded for insubordination during a mission. His commander even called him a product of Navy nepotism, saying he never would have gotten off the ground without his father being an admiral.

Now the dishonorable discharge and his later political betrayal have caught up with him. NASA doesn’t want his name associated with anything they do anymore.

He didn’t deserve the recognition in the first place. Now he’s losing even the fake legacy he tried to build.
