Unfortunately, @ccoutdoor have demonstrated their cowardice in the face of threats from #scientology. Imagine owning 70K plus billboards and being intimidated by a cult? Scientology owned them.

We need your help with something important.
Please read and share this post.
I have just learned that due to Scientology’s threats and pressure tactics, @CCOutdoorNA has taken this billboard down.
They’ve done this even though @AftermathFdn had a one-year contract for the billboard.
This billboard simply offered a safe exit opportunity to Scientologists who wish to leave.
Taking this billboard down is unacceptable and just another example of a major corporation caving to a dangerous totalitarian cult that is abusing its members daily as a matter of policy.
Unlike Clear Channel Outdoor, the Aftermath Foundation will not back down in the face of harassment.
Please follow @AftermathFdn to stay up to date on their work.

What a week Phil Jones has had, with his stealth operation in Los Angeles to put up a billboard on behalf of the Aftermath Foundation, and then the controversy with #Scientology that ensued. We wanted to ask him even more questions about what went down. https://t.co/qSCsZCzBS9
If Scientology is as great as it claims to be, why is it so afraid of the truth? Why is it so obsessed with isolating its members?
This week, the Aftermath Foundation, which does vital work to help people get out of Scientology, put up a billboard next to Scientology's large base in LA.
Within hours of the billboard going up, Scientology officials placed these lifts in front of it. The base was also closed down so that Sea Org members (Scientology's workforce) wouldn't see the billboard as they walked to and from different buildings.
When the Aftermath Foundation's billboard was going up, Phil Jones, a former Scientologist, was present to witness the moment.
Phil just joined the board of The Aftermath Foundation and helped oversee the billboard's design, contract, and placement.
Phil and his wife Willie were the first to do this nearly a decade ago when they put up a billboard to get the attention of their children and bring attention to Scientology's cruel practice of forced disconnection, which is based on L. Ron Hubbard's policies.
Their two kids, Mike and Emily, are Sea Org members who were ordered to disconnect from them. Phil and Willie's billboard went up in 2016; at the time, Mike was 42, and Emily was 38. Today, they are 50 and 46, respectively.
Time slips by as Scientology and David Miscavige continue to keep families separated.
I'll add that while Phil was witnessing the Aftermath billboard go up this past week, he was assaulted and harassed by someone who knew who he was. Scientology's cruelty knows no bounds.
Thank you to @CCOutdoorNA for putting the billboard up. I know you all are under pressure from Scientology; please stand firm and don’t buckle to a totalitarian cult that is holding people against their will and destroying their lives. A billboard with an 800 number offering people an opportunity to leave shouldn’t threaten any decent organization.
Thank you to everyone who has helped the Aftermath Foundation do what it does best: help Scientologists leave and discover a whole new world.
The #scientology bullying continues. The @AftermathFdn billboard was taken down after @ccoutdoor folded like a cheap tent. Shame on them. Scientology claims they are champions of free speech. And that anyone is "free to leave." Both blatant lies.

At the Orlando airport someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around. It was a TSA officer. With a smile he said, “Hey there, every day is a great day not to be in a cult!”
I have some important news to share.
For two decades, Julian Swartz, a top Scientology ethics official has played a pivotal role in covering up crimes of Scientologists. This includes the sex crimes of Danny Masterson.
But Julian's photo has never been published before. But now, for the first time, I am publishing his photo in a piece I've co-authored with my friend @yashar.
Meet Scientology's obstructor-in-chief. A man who has covered up many crimes involving sexual violence including the molestation of young children.
Please share this far and wide.

Scientology and David Miscavige have reacted to Leah Remini’s lawsuit by comparing her to an antisemite who complains about the @ADL and suggesting she emigrate to Russia.
I rarely quote Scientology statements but this one is so egregious that it’s worth highlighting.
@Scientology_org@MissionFilm https://t.co/HSWG09iYVM Please don't ask Tom Cruise questions about Scientology and how much money he donates to the cult of Scientology. Or his relations to David Miscavige. Or Suri Cruise!
@Scientology_org@TomCruise How much money have Tom Cruise donated to the cult of Scientology? The leader of the cult David Miscavige gave tom a medalion, was it for mission impossible in pretending to be a religion?
