👏A special thank you to Dr. Brandon Enos, Superintendent of Cushing ISD and Legislative Chair of TREA, for his tireless advocacy on behalf of rural schools during this legislative session. Dr. Enos was among a select group of superintendents working closely with Chairman Buckley’s office on HB 4—an Accountability Revision bill that would mark a historic shift by eliminating the STAAR test. Representing a district with fewer than 3,000 students, Dr. Enos stood as a powerful voice for rural education, testifying at the Capitol at 2am, after waiting over 18 hours to speak.

The full video testimony, which also includes, TREA member, Dr. Brad Owen of Burkburnett ISD and Dr. Stephanie Elizalde of Dallas ISD, is available at the link below. TREA is proud to have such dedicated leaders working on behalf of our members.
