I wanted to make a brief observation regarding this video posted yesterday by the U.S. Central Command.

The footage clearly shows an F-35C completely covered in rust due to the salt air of the Arabian Sea.

This problem has persisted for years, and neither Lockheed Martin nor CENTCOM has managed to find a solution, consequently, the ongoing standoff in the Middle East is detrimental to these stealth aircraft, which have been parked on aircraft carriers at sea for months.

In fact, stealth technology is significantly compromised by this rust, which could render the radar-absorbent coating ineffective, thereby increasing the risk of the aircraft being shot down by Iranian air defenses.
