Akal Takht is not a British construct. It was established by the Sixth Guru himself.
The British just acknowledged it as the Supreme seat of the Sikhs and not as any common Gurdwara.
You cry because the Indian govt has no rights over it. Deal with it.
The 6th Sikh Guru had purchased the land for the city of Kiratpur Sahib from Raja Tara Chand of Kehloor (Bilaspur) in 1624 AD and at same place battle of Kartarpur was fought on 25 April 1635 ADvbetween Sikhs and Mughal’s and it was a major defensive victory for the Sikhs!
