Anna May Wong and Vincent Price in a stage production of Turandot, 1937. A romantic relationship developed between Wong and Price and according to Price's daughter, Victoria, they even discussed the possibility of marriage.
@notcapnamerica I will say, he might not have been super explicit. But the carabinieri at the time definitely claimed Salvatore was bisexual, and made it the core of their case against him (as they has essentially no real evidence).
@notcapnamerica During the trial for the 1960 murder of his wife in Sardinia (which was most likely a suicide). This was in 1988. I tried finding a quick link (I read it in the book by Antonio Segnini) but I only found this which quotes a 1986 interrogation: https://t.co/9ReIOYlMWj
@notcapnamerica He also was most likely not the killer. In fact he was probably set up to be framed for the 1968 murders by the female victim's family. He was too short, for one, not even 160 cm when the Monster was around 180 cm.
@notcapnamerica If it's Salvatore Vinci, there is evidence he was bisexual (as in, he said as much), but that is where it ends. He wasn't abusive or violent. The carabinieri at the time, however, were incredibly homophobic and basically treated his sexuality as proof of his guilt.
@notcapnamerica Haven't seen the show, but if you ever feel like getting into the details, Antonio Segnini's youtube channel has the best info (all in Italian but most of the videos have English subs):
