During my morning jog in Kibagabaga area in #Kigali today, I came across dozens of young people walking with purpose in the early hours. Curious, I stopped and asked where they were headed. They told me they were on their way to work at the Nyabisindu Estate construction site, just a few kilometres away.
As I watched them disappear down the road, I couldn’t help but reflect on how far Rwanda has come.
32 years ago, in 1994, many young people were manipulated by a genocidal regime & turned into instruments of the Genocide against the Tutsi. Today, Rwanda’s youth are builders, not destroyers. Instead of carrying weapons, they carry tools. Instead of taking lives, they are helping build homes, earning an honest living, and shaping the future of their country.
I recalled that the Nyabisindu Rehousing Project is a Government of #Rwanda initiative that will provide dignified housing for 1,600 families, transforming vulnerable informal settlements into a modern, decent community.
That scene before me was more than a group of young people walking to work. It was a powerful reminder of what visionary #leadership can achieve. Leadership shapes values, creates opportunities, restores dignity, and gives a generation a reason to believe in tomorrow.
As one author put it: “Everything rises and falls on leadership”
This morning, I didn’t just see young people walking to work. I saw a generation walking toward Rwanda’s future.

🔹Thirty-two years after the genocide against the Tutsi, I had the honor of sharing some of the work and thoughts I have been carrying for years; work that traces the ideological roots of what happened in Rwanda back to two of the oldest and most lethal hatreds in human history: colonial negrophobia and antisemitism; a documented, precise, structural reality.
🔹When German and Belgian colonizers arrived in the Great Lakes region, they could not accept that Africans had built organized kingdoms, rich cultures, complex moral systems. So they invented a myth: that the Tutsi were not truly African, but a « semi-Shem-Hamitic » race; foreign invaders from the northeast, possibly Ethiopia, who had supposedly brought civilization to the region.
➡️ NO archaeologist, NO historian has ever found evidence of ANY sort of ancient migration backing that story. It is a colonial fable. But it tied the Tutsi, by design, to the Jews (of the antisemite ideology), with a first wave of « positive » stereotypes.
🔹When the Rwandan Mwami joined the wave of decolonization, the colonizer flipped the script. The supposed « superiority » of the Tutsi was reversed into every classic violent antisemitic trope: intelligence became cunning, beauty became a weapon, presence became invasion and conspiracy. The first Hutu Power leader, Grégoire Kayibanda, was an open admirer of Hitler. He was literally nicknamed Hitler by his European friends, and he wore it with pride.
🔹Centuries of sophisticated anti-Jewish propaganda, of colonial hatred and disdain for black people - negrophobia - arrived in Rwanda with full force.
And it has not stopped. Today, on TikTok, in spaces that operate in total impunity, the exact language of Radio Télévision Libre des Mille Collines, the radio station that guided the militias in 1994, is being reproduced. Every. Single day.
🔹The genocidaires, their allies and their ideological descendants were perfect students of history. They studied the Holocaust. They borrowed its vocabulary, its strategies of victimization, its mirror accusations.
We have a duty to be better students of history than they were.
“To you the youth who are here, you are the majority of Rwanda’s population. Having 75% of the population under 30 is an immense source of strength. We have to ensure that strength is anchored in our values and meaningful work that enable you to build yourself and your country. You cannot build Rwanda without building yourself first. That is what I ask of you and that is my wish for you.” President Kagame | End of Year Party
Three meals a day is a Rockefeller psyop.
"Our ancestors ate once a day, sometimes three times a week."
"And you know what? They thrived. They were lean, sharp, and strong, because the body is designed to function best in fasting."
"But you've been programmed. You think skipping breakfast is a crime. You think hunger is an emergency. No, it's power."
"Fasting activates cells that act like little soldiers. They march straight to the damage, clean it out, rebuild you stronger."
"That's real medicine."
Diplomatic masterclass by Rwanda.
While propagandists screamed "aggressor!", Kigali was laying down a roadmap for peace — calmly, surgically.
On March 12, President Kagame told @MarioNawfal exactly what was needed: "less noise, more direct conversation."
Fast forward:
The DRC government and AFC/M23 sign a joint communiqué—progress in direct negotiations.
Just days later, the DRC and Rwanda sign a Declaration of Principles in Washington DC, hosted by Secretary Rubio.
Yes, that Rwanda.
The one they love to hate, yet always shows up with discipline, clarity, and results.
Because while others posture for headlines, Rwanda plays for stability.
Game, set, diplomacy.

This angle of Lewis Hamilton's last lap overtake on George Russell is actually INSANE.
Hamilton is still the best wheel to wheel racer in the world... even at 39-years old👍
