Struggling to get motivated today. I just want to curl up under an electric blanket and go back to sleep. But the animals are relying on me for food and water. I promised to help a friend later on, he said he'd pay me and I have bills to pay. I am so lucky to be a "rich" farmer.

Is someone forcing these farmers to farm? Around here the land rent is £165 per acre. The farmers renting it can make it work, if you own it you're that far up already. If they don't want to farm it let someone else have a go.

@Scarborough_GB Clarkson has proved how hard farming is. If you manage 1000 acres with no experience while filming other TV shows and a bullish (although likable) 20 something year old.
I'd hope any job would show the same, but we shouldn't be surprised they make no money on that show.
