History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet.
Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years.
And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor.
You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit.
Really proud of my team at Reata Outdoor for being part of such a meaningful mural. As true believers in OOH and the wall mural medium, it’s special to witness how art connects us, through the positive responses here on X and what we’re hearing on the ground here in Venice & LA. Honored to help amplify messages like this anytime, @eoghan.
Breaking News: Home sellers in the U.S. would no longer be forced to pay up to 6% commission to agents under a settlement that experts say will drive down prices. https://t.co/Sje336oG8L
@realestatedude0 Big announcement, NYT reported today: "The NAR will put in a new rule “prohibiting offers of broker compensation” on the MLS. This would mean that broker compensation offers could not be communicated via the MLS, but they could still be pursued off the service."
@realestatedude0@bigbalognapony @crikeyitsamagat I'm well aware of the hours involved, I'm both a Broker and a Lawyer. Some deals take longer, some are quick closes. The current compensation scheme is being disrupted, rightfully so. The choice is to either adjust or find a new career.
@kanan70303 @McJonesky@realestatedude0@fenderjazz1978 California politicians don't care about Macroeconomics or the knock-on effect of their policies. Their goal is the juicy sound bite and headline that shows they are "taxing the rich," despite the adverse result: those Sellers exit the CA market for greener pastures out of state.
@fenderjazz1978 @kanan70303 @McJonesky@realestatedude0 Big surprise! Counterintuitive California policies result in Sales Plunge Following Measure ULA’s "Mansion" Tax Introduction.

@realestatedude0@NewYorkWest2 That's true! Then you are connected to some desperate Broker that has no clue about the home. Turns out they overpaid Zillow to snipe the call, which then leads to awkward conversation where said Broker tries to locate the Listing Agent and attempts to "rep" you. Sound correct?
@MarkitaC64625 @realestatedude0 @crikeyitsamagat Have you brokered a house in CA? Was it above the Median price of $750,000? If you spent less than 30 hours on the transaction, kept 3%, then you averaged $790/hr. Whoever held your license takes a cut, but the Net Expense to the Seller still comes out to $790/hr.
