"PUCL (@PUCLindia) Report on Manipur Violence: A One-Sided Indictment, Not Fact-Finding"
'By reducing the crisis to a simplistic binary and vilifying one community, PUCL ignores the complex realities on the ground. Its selective lens betrays a prejudiced ideological position that risks fuelling division rather than aiding reconciliation. Anything less than honest, balanced inquiry will only write the next chapter of conflict, not reconciliation. Manipur deserves truth, not manufactured narratives.'

If any Indian citizens are prohibited from entering certain regions of India by any individual or group, it raises serious concerns about the existence of government and the rule of law in the country. Where are the politicians and bureaucrats during this critical time? The Kukis claim that Meiteis are not permitted in Kuki territories, which leads me to ask: Is Kuki a separate nation, or do they have their own government? I pose this question to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
A crucial issue was brought up in Lok Sabha past midnight at 2 a.m. relating to the 22 months old crisis in Manipur which has witnessed hundreds having lost their lives and about sixty thousand rendered homeless, and it ended within barely 45 minutes!
That too, after a gruelling 14 hrs discussion on the Waqt bill, a critical "national" issue!
As it happens, out of 793 members, there are three MPs from Manipur in the Parliament - two in Lok Sabha and one in Rajya Sabha - who didn't get the opportunity to speak on a matter that pertains to their state during the discussion!
Where does Manipur stand in this country?
