RJ Mitte had his life's work stolen from him by his own management team and then he killed himself.
They committed a crime that recklessly and negligently set into motion a series of events that led to the death of it's victim.
Agent, manager, lawyer.
They're all culpable.
Quit saying that Lanterns was grounded.
It means rooted in reality but every single part of the show was unrealistic.
The cops, the court system, schools, the military, etc...all of the normal, everyday stuff was inorganic and backwards.
It wasn't grounded, it was just boring.
@OpenMothersMale Well, the kid isn't imaginary.
Their entire audience is children.
No one starts watching this show as an adult because it's childish, low-resolution and algorithmic as opposed to creative.
Every fan started watching while sneaking to watch TV after bed time.
@EoghanR97 Ya, both opinions are fake and you're talking about spam accounts.
Companies pay for advertising, which triggers the platform to signal boost posts and guarantee engagement around their products.
This leads to every marketing account always talking about the biggest ad-buy.
I hate that the Rick Jonesness of this opinion and that fact that it's undebatably true.
Rick Jones kinda sucks and is totally boring but he was absolutely the main character of the Marvel Universe for about 20 years.
People who can have the right to be called the main character of Marvel:
-Rick Jones
-Ben Grimm
-Reed Richards
-Franklin Richards
-Rom: the Space Knight
-Peter Parker
In that order, everyone else is larp
@JosukeDLC@ezradulis Nope, you're just making stuff up.
These people said what they said and I'm responding to what the words they said happen to mean.
Childhood trauma is not the root cause of of heroic behavior in comic books or the real world.
@battlefrick@c_e_e_a_r_r So you don't understand why the producers were forcing the Lynch analogue to put the girl in his movie?
The whole point of the movie is that these actresses have no agency in their own careers and even the director of a film isn't actually in control.
You didn't see the movie.
@fokman95@TheWrap Ya, every defense of Feige requires complete ignorance of the process.
Ali was under contract to Marvel.
That's it.
He was going to have to make whatever movie they greenlit and they simply refused to greenlight the scripts they got.
It literally CAN'T be Mahershala's fault.
This is what happens when the influence peddlers consume all the creative positions at every media company.
Modern films have become weird conglomerations of scenes that a studio exec thought sounded cool.
No one actually cares if those scenes don't add up to a coherent story.
Movie eventually has a scene where Spider-Man flips over one cop car to show hes turning into a "monster" which deeply shakes him but I guess fuck these guys. Not his problem.
@LAZARUS_MAN28@AxelTalksFilm@NexusPointNews Tom King is the single worst writer in the history of every medium he's ever touched.
DC comics had to put him on suicide watch after Heroes in Crisis.
He's a scam.
Robert Pattinson says โTRANSFORMERSโ is the definitive movie of the 2000s.
โIn the early 2000s [movies had] super bright, saturated colors and really glossy stuff and it I guess culminates with Transformers and then it kind of ends.โ

@BradCurran Morrison is being hyperbolic because he's awesome but the movie was terrible and Momoa was terrible in it.
Stop filling twitter this counterfactual positivity bullshit.
We all know it's just marketing.
The internet is an environment and marketing is pollution. Stop polluting.
@bottlesalts@KikinChikin@ZeiSpaceKaiju Yep, anyone account making that comparison is just repeating a marketing prompt and should probably be blocked.
No human being would ever watch True Detective Season and then Lanterns and think they have anything in common.
It's just an elevator pitch.
@TmrwNevrComes Creatives have no say in the budget, the marketing, the number of episodes, the number of seasons, the casting, etc...
All of the decisions ya'll try to associate with writers and directors are decided by studio execs and producers.
But you knew that, engagement bait is gross.
@LumpyTheCook What made you wake up in the morning and retweet a blogger?
Is it a job in marketing or a hopes of a job in marketing?
Cuz you're just doing marketing and it's corny and weird.
