Decal Projector not working as intended?
Before diving into shaders or materials, check the Render Layer settings.
A mismatched setting can make decals disappear or project on unwanted objects.

Use Shift + Ctrl to Snap to Surface to quickly place props on floors, tables, shelves etc.
Keep in mind: The surface you snap to needs a collider and scene camera view direction matters.

#UnityTips Need to spread objects evenly along a transform?
Use the L(-1,1) command to linearly distribute them between point 0 and 15. Great for fast level layout, modular environments, and procedural placement workflows.

#UnityTip
When dressing a scene, add slight random rotation to props for a more natural look.
Select multiple objects and enter +=R(-5,5) in the Y rotation field to randomize instantly.

@PrismarchGame This is not an online function l. This is a one time operation. After you enter it you have a number in the field just like if you entered it manually. It gets serialized as usual when saving the scene.

@DistractedDevYT You can also align positions linear by entering in x pos L(1,10) which will set objects linear between 1 and 10 on the x axis. It is so convenient!

Unity 6.4 starts the move from InstanceID to EntityId.
That means EntityId is now the preferred identifier for Unity objects, and InstanceID APIs are deprecated.
Also: donโt treat EntityId like a plain int.

HideFlags.DontSave is useful when an object should live outside normal scene saving. It wonโt be saved to the Scene, it survives scene loads and you need to clean it up manually.
Good to know:
objects with HideFlags.DontSave wonโt show up in Unityโs Find*ByType APIs.

URP includes a LightingComplexity debug view in the Rendering Debugger.
It helps you see how many lights affect areas of the screen, making dense and potentially costly lighting setups much easier to spot.
Very useful when tuning scene lighting.
