The responses to my last post confirmed exactly what I was talking about.
"If she has her own money she will disrespect her husband."
Let that sentence sink in. Read it again. That is not a statement about money. That is a confession.
You are telling me that the only reason your wife respects you is because she is broke. That her loyalty is not built on love, deen, or character it is built on dependency.
That is not a marriage. That is a hostage situation with a nikah certificate.
If a woman's respect for you disappears the moment she has financial power, the problem was never her money. The problem is you.
You built a marriage on control, not on Allah-conscious partnership, and now you are terrified of what happens when the leverage disappears.
Khadijah (RA) was richer than the Prophet ﷺ before he married her. Did her wealth make her disrespectful?
Did it make her disobedient? No. It made her one of the most honored women in Islamic history, and the Prophet ﷺ never once treated her wealth as a threat to his authority.
So if a woman with money is dangerous to your home, ask yourself what kind of home you actually built.
Stop hiding insecurity behind religion.
Allah did not tell women to stay poor for the sake of male comfort.
Men did. And they have been getting away with it because women were too afraid to call it what it is.
I am done being polite about this. The truth has been spoken.
That thing some Muslim content creators are doing— showing us the breakdown of their Eid outfits and photoshoots, can we please not normalize that? Like genuinely nobody asked and it’s far from being Islamic.

There is one sin that Shaytan loves more than anything
Not zina.
Not riba.
Not alcohol.
This sin often appears after a person commits a sin. What is that sin?
On this polygamy issue… there’s a way Muslim men talk about it that brings disrespect to Islam and people say Islam is oppressive to women.
You guys talk about it as if it’s a trophy you won in a gender war not about two human beings, and also disregard for women’s feelings and emotions.
Someone got married the day his wife was put to bed, we raised concerns on total disregard for her conditions and we were called “bitter feminists” takfir’d for “hating polygamy” and men were hailing him for being a real man.
I said “I wouldn’t believe you love if you get married when am at the verge of death” and all the replies from men were laughing emojis as if women emotions and pain is something to be laughed about.
Someone tweeted about seeing a lady more beautiful than their wife and I saw a comment “thank God for being a Muslim” are you insinuating polygamy exists merely to satisfy your insatiable desires? Or women have become objects for you to pick any that seems good for you everytime?
This dehumanizing and objectifying behavior from Muslim men is what makes outsiders say Islam oppresses women and accuse people of Islamophobia when they point out your hypocrisy
My "Roman Empire is the realization that my life is a lottery win. Somewhere in Sudan, Pålestine, iran, Afghanistan, Iraq or Congo, there is a boy smarter than me. He is more disciplined, more resilient, and holds more potential in his single finger than I do in my entire career.
The only difference? I am siting in a train and he is sting in the rubble of his dreams.
My "bad days" are his wildest dreams.
My "burnout" is a luxury he can't afford because his only job is staying alive.
It's geographical luck and it's a haunting injustice that we all refuse to acknowledge and look away
Ironically, the most important thing to address here is the terrible choice of words (which is rooted in a bad mentality that caused the whole issue in the first place).
“Thoroughly used” for a HUMAN BEING, esp in reference to being with ONE person sexually is concerning & unbefitting for people with understanding & good values. It shows a warped idea of sex (as something done to women), being sinful & repenting from sins. I’m very confident that the “used” label had nothing to do with the sinful nature of what she went through but that she went through it at all. And the fact that she repented (an act described by the Prophet as something that makes her seem as if she never sinned) is even further proof.
Therefore, it is mindsets like this that affect how we see women who have been chaste all their lives by Islamic standards, but have been unfortunate to lose their husbands/marriage, hence becoming undesirable on the “marriage market”. Many among our mothers (of the believers) and the great sahābiyyāt were exactly like this & the pious men of the past saw them differently. We want our women to be like the women of the past, but we don’t want to be those men & vice-versa. It is wrong & we need to do better.
Secondly, referring to her as “APPARENTLY modest” is also unnecessarily and highly disrespectful, if she has genuinely repented from her sinful past. If she has, she is modest. End of. No ifs, buts, or maybes. In an athar narrated from ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattab, he reportedly said, “we judge by what’s apparent”. And one’s past (even the word indicates it’s gone) isn’t a factor when it comes to what’s currently apparent, esp if it doesn’t affect it.
All these said, I’m NOT saying she or any woman like her MUST be your cup of tea, as you are allowed your preference, as long as you don’t slander and tarnish the image of these women unfairly. In fact, contrary to what many have been saying & in the spirit of insaf, there’s nothing wrong with revealing her KNOWN past (not speculated & no, hearsay isn’t a proof. It gotta be shar’i level of witnessing, in the sense of seeing the actual act yourself or getting narration from thiqqa sources, which can’t be a similarly sinful person like the alleged co-zāni) if it’s relevant to the present, even after repentance. Like if one is aware of the seeker’s preference (esp if it’s very important to him) or the past behaviors have ongoing and/or indelible negative effects. If it doesn’t and/or it’s mere hearsay (even if from a zāni claiming to have done it with her), and her current status is genuine chastity, then the correct Islamic position is to shut your mouth.
In conclusion, outside the already addressed wrong wording & approach to this matter & depending on the details, such as the relevance of the info, etc, it may not be anyone’s fault but the sister’s. While it’s true Allah is all forgiving & she is now considered chaste shar’an, it doesn’t mean actions won’t have social/worldly consequences. And it makes sense, as a lesson and a deterrent to all that a life full of sins, esp major sins, is NEVER worth it & MIGHT come back to haunt you, except by Allaah’s will (which is the counterbalance that grants succor to those that repent). It is okay though, as again, if Allaah wills, and I pray he does, he will grant you your person eventually, who wouldn’t even look that deep into your history, talk less of having issues with it. This one was just never meant to be yours.
Na’am.

When I hear men worshipping guns and talking about how there’s nothing that will stop them from defending their family, my mind goes to Naaman in the Bible. Do you remember Naaman? He was a great military leader, and he also had leprosy.

I think a lot of men need to realize they don’t have nearly the amount of gold required for the women who fuck w them to be actual gold diggers. You don’t pay any of her bills, you don’t fund her life, you don’t send her money for nails or hair or anything that could be taken as funding her.
You buy her food when you’re together. You buy her gifts on holidays. That’s kind of just a normal dynamic of any basic friendship.
If she goes to work every day and funds her own existence, you just throw her some dinners or buy her a coffee here and there, you’re doing the actual bare minimum that women do for their female friends on a regular basis. You have no gold to dig.
