@jjh_lifts the 20% is from the SURMOUNT-1 trial, and the 14% for semaglutide is from a separate trial, STEP 1. the two drugs were studied in different populations.
@BhavanChand what did fasting insulin actually read before and after? that one and hscrp both fall just from losing the fat. i never know what to credit without the size of the drop.
@HansAmato has anyone actually measured this? brain fog and loose stool get called endotoxin a lot and i have never seen an lps or lbp number sitting next to the story.
@MetabolicUncle the main one is buffey et al's meta-analysis in sports medicine, 2022. even just standing intermittently helped, but light-intensity walking after a meal had a much larger blunting effect on both glucose and insulin across seven studies.
@OwenGregorian the 'memory' isn't in the fat tissue itself. it's epigenetic changes in bone marrow stem cells. they stay rewired to produce pro-inflammatory immune cells, even after the weight is gone.
i would not call bpc-157, tb-500, cjc-1295, mk-677, ipamorelin or ghk-cu "research backed" anymore
ucla health went through all 565 studies on them, published 31 aug 2026. more than two thirds never left an animal

@gregogallagher@RyanJAyala what's your take on preserving lean mass on glp-1s? the literature is mixed and most of the anecdotes i see are tracking scale weight, not body composition. curious how you think about it.
@James9thLife cjc-1295 is two different drugs. dac or not. the dac version latches onto albumin and gh just stays up instead of pulsing. tesamorelin and sermorelin never do that.
@DrJesseMorse how do you rank blood against urine when one is antibodies and the other is the mycotoxins themselves? i have never seen a head to head. different measurement.
@afshineemrani@JennyMcCarthy the tragedy is that the answers are measurable. hs-crp, cytokines, zonulin. the search ends with a panel, but you need a baseline to see what changed, and almost nobody has one.
@WorldPeptide the nursing school answer is you just never recap them at all. is that even practical for this stuff? always wondered how people actually handle it.
'best rated' is the most abused phrase in peptides
finnrick's top vendor for cjc-1295, out of 69 lab tests, scores 49% on their purity standard. best in the category, still under half
retatrutide's top scorer hits 93% off 378 tests, same platform, same day

@JCanNuSH is that 6% relative or absolute? i have not seen the compete switch abstract. those two mean totally different things once you are looking at a retrospective switch. did they even match on why people left 1mg?
@HansAmato curious if you saw this on a panel. the fiber story comes up a lot but i've never seen anyone post the before/after on markers like zonulin or hs-crp.
@matt_is_nice@MrsToniToomey curious how the visuals will correlate with standard markers like zonulin and fecal calprotectin. it's the part that would let someone track change quantitatively, not just visually. have you run any of those correlations yet?beh
@Brady_H what are the other two for you. i keep seeing people who can quote their blood pressure and have never once pulled fasting insulin or apob.rze
@Alexleaf the 'science' is the measurable part. what happens to triglycerides, hs-CRP, fasting insulin, apoB. you can't know from an article, you have to test. and almost nobody posts the before and after.
