Batch 2021 BS-MS students (Nissy, Nitha, Joel, and Shivanshi) at BioGeoSys successfully defended their theses on 30th April 2026. We are overjoyed and proud of their journey so far, and we wish them the very best for their future endeavours.
Workers of Army ants are blind and lack compound eyes, whereas males possess both compound eyes and ocelli, simple eyes that aid in orientation and navigation.
The presence of ocelli in workers may be due to developmental anomaly or mutation.
Before officially applying through NISER's admission portal, the candidates should email us ([email protected]) a copy of their CV and a statement of purpose, both in a single PDF, before 20th April. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an online meeting.
