Once our plastics have been used and discarded, they undergo oxidative degradation and break down into brittle fragments. The speed at which this happens depends on availability of UV light (sunlight), oxygen, heat and physical stress experienced.

Totally Degradable Plastics Additives (TDPA) are added to the plastic, which causes the modified plastic to degrade at a controlled rate. TPDA products are food contact compliant and meet applicable US, European and Canadian Standards.

Our products are made of 100% oxo-biodegradeable material which means they break down in 1-2 years when discarded into landfill, and 3-5 years for the harder plastic items. Traditional plastics take 100s-1000s of years to break down!
