Today is equal pay day, when women effectively stop being paid compared to men due to the gender pay gap.

This day is sooner this year because that gap has widened, with men earning an average of £631 more than women per month, and even more for black, minoritised and disabled women.

The Government must take urgent action to reduce the pay gap.
