@Dutchmeezz @CultureCrave Tbh, since RE7 and RE9 (seems to be) aimed for a more grounded approach, then Leon could have PTSD. That would definitely impact the horror aspect in the story department. Idk, feels like they could’ve done a lot. He’s definitely still in the game, probably just for the action.

@Dutchmeezz @CultureCrave Fear comes from the player. Sure during cutscenes Leon wouldn’t be as scared, but framing, composition, music, editing, lighting, can still make it a scary experience for the player. Even if it’s less scary for the protagonist.
