What is a dental #bonegraft?
A dental bone graft is necessary when bone loss has occurred in the jaw. This procedure is commonly performed prior to #dentalimplant placement or when bone loss is negatively affecting neighboring teeth.
Stay tuned for more information.
What are the benefits of synthetic bone graft material in surgery?
Synthetic bone grafts are increasingly popular as a safe and reliable way to heal bones tissue.
For more information, stay tuned for our next post!

"Bone matrix" makes up most of your skeleton and gives your bones strength. Inside the matrix are living #bonecells that create and maintain the matrix. When you damage a bone, these cells heal & regrow the bone, gradually being absorbed into the newly-made bone.
Bone fact: Adult humans have 206 bones.
They stop growing in length during puberty, but their strength and density change over time. If bones become brittle, they may fracture more complexly and need to be stabilized with implants or grafts.

Why are #bonegrafts important?
They can help support bone growth, fill in areas where bone is absent, and avoid the need for a second surgical site to harvest patient's own bone.
Stay tuned to learn more!
Who are we?
We are a pioneer in bone graft technologies based near Nantes, France with a passion to help surgeons find the right solutions for their patients.

Did you know among #syntheticbone grafts, Calcium Phosphate (CaP) materials were rapidly preferred as they can be part of the bone remodelling process?
Stay tuned for more information on the different types of #bonegraft material and their impact on surgical outcomes.
#Syntheticbonegrafts are biocompatible materials artificially produced in laboratories. They include metals, polymers, and ceramics.
Among these ceramics, those based on calcium phosphate materials are very well represented due to their similarity to bone composition.
What is an #autograft?
This type of material is a graft of tissue from one point to another of the same individual's body. Autografts are commonly used in #reconstructivesurgery.
Stay tuned to learn more about the different types of bone grafts.
What is an #allograft?
Allograft is a tissue graft from a donor of the same species as the recipient but not genetically identical. Examples of allografts include skin grafts, #bonegrafts, and organ transplants.
Interested in learning more? Stay tuned for our next post.
Xenograft is a material commonly used in #orthopedic and #dentalsurgeries. It is derived from animal sources, usually cows or pigs, and undergoes extensive processing to remove all cellular and organic components while retaining the mineral structure of the bone. #bonegraft
Did you know there are different types of bone grafts?
Autograft - uses a sample of your bone tissue
Synthetics - uses artificially produced materials
Allograft - uses bone tissue from another person
Xenograft - uses tissue from a donor of another species
#Bonegrafts play a crucial role in a variety of #orthopedic procedures, from spinal fusions to reconstructive surgeries. By supplementing the body's natural healing process, bone grafts can help to stabilize fractures, correct deformities, & promote new bone tissue growth.
In addition to their use in #orthopedicprocedures, #bonegrafts are also an essential component of #dentalimplant surgeries. By providing a stable base for implants, bone grafts can help ensure the long-term success of the procedure and improve the patient's overall oral health.
