A wonderful story celebrating 25 years of Biomedical Sciences at @uhasselt , shared during the opening lecture by our very own alumnus @roelandbcknx. Β His story was truly inspiring for our 180 new Biomedical Sciences students.
When students go to university, a common question is how quickly they can find a job after graduation. Our biomedical sciences alumni are happy to share their valuable experiences in this area!

As most of us know, #lipids are crucial for many common diseases, such as #cardiovascular diseases, #neuronal diseases, and #Cancer. But lipids are also essential for the function of #biomaterials and can be used in drug delivery devices. (1/2)
It is with pain in our hearts that we learn of the death of our former rector Luc De Schepper. He was a man of vision who led our university in 16 years, from the small LUC to a large and strong @uhasselt.
Thank you, Luc. We are enormously proud of everything you have achieved!
Not only is it important for us to promote biomedical research. But we also think it is important that scientific work is well communicated to the outside world. Below you can see how one of our talented alumni @BiekeBroux explains the difference between good and bad cholestorol!
