Intia on vaikutusvaltainen toimija, jonka näkemyksiä on tärkeää kuulla.
Delighted to welcome my Indian colleague, Minister of External Affairs @DrJaishankar, to Helsinki.
Finland and India have excellent bilateral relations.
We will continue deepening our trade ties and see significant potential in digitalization and sustainability. 🇫🇮🇮🇳
Participated in an engaging discussion with FM @elinavaltonen of Finland and Assistant FM Lana Nusseibeh of the UAE on ‘Emerging Powers and the New Geopolitical Competition’ at the #KultarantaTalks#Finland.
➡️ Noted that ongoing conflicts are imposing costs and triggering changes far beyond the regions.
➡️ Agreed that the international community must continue efforts to mitigate their consequences and create conditions for diplomacy.
➡️ Emphasised the importance of de-risking and diversifying supply chains, building greater resilience and redundancy in an increasingly volatile world.
➡️ Reiterated that India’s energy choices are guided by national interest, with purchases based on considerations of affordability and availability.
➡️ Highlighted the centrality of India’s relations with the Gulf region, underpinned by strong people-to-people ties, energy cooperation, and growing strategic and defence partnership.
➡️ Observed that the character of warfare is evolving rapidly, with new technologies, weapons and tactics coexisting with traditional forms of conflict, opening fresh avenues for India-EU defence & strategic cooperation.
➡️ Noted that India and the EU have, this year alone, concluded negotiations on the FTA, signed the Strategic & Defence Partnership, and Comprehensive Mobility Cooperation Framework, reflecting the growing depth of the relationship.
2. Unless #cooperation over scientific research is decoupled or managed from ongoing geopolitical rivalries in the #Arctic, expanding knowledge gaps would leave the global community ill-equipped to manage future catastrophic transitions originating from the #HighNorth.
Key arguments of my paper:
1. #Arctic is facing a crisis of epistemic fragmentation of scientific information which would challenge future decision-making.
The inauguration took place at the @ulapland in @VisitRovaniemi . In the opening session, “Embodiment & Dialogue – The two Methods of Calotte Academy”, was led by Prof. Lassi Heininen and Prof. Matti Nojonen.

#WATCH | Delhi | A 'Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar' awardee says, "When Operation Sindoor began against Pakistan, soldiers came to our village. I thought I should serve them. I used to take milk, tea, buttermilk, and ice for them daily... I feel great to be awarded. I had never dreamt of it..."

In a landmark step for the Indian civil aviation sector, HAL and Public Joint Stock Company United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC-UAC) have signed an MoU for the production of SJ-100 civil commuter aircraft in India.
The SJ-100 will be a game changer for short-haul connectivity under the UDAN Scheme and marks a major stride towards achieving ‘Aatmanirbharta’ in civil aviation.
SJ-100 will be the first complete passenger aircraft to be made in the country since the AVRO era. The manufacturing will also strengthen the private sector and create direct and indirect jobs in the aviation industry.
Congratulations to HAL and other stakeholders.
