whatever that shadow may have been, there is nothing I can do. I have sworn to myself that I would stay true to my ways and never ever interfere.
So instead of following said phantom or doing anything of the sort, I let a sigh pass my lips and leave after a few seconds, --
akin to a shadow, a dark silhouette zipping by. An image so fleeting, anyone else would have failed to notice or dismissed it as a figment of their imagination. But I know better.
As mentioned, I am far from ordinary, even though I try my best to appear that way.

As I keep moving, footsteps nimble and light, I do notice something out of the ordinary though and alarm bells start ringing in my head.
Once I reach my neighbour's house I stop dead in my tracks, staring at the very spot where I thought to have seen something --
