“I have never played for a draw in my life.”
Ferguson grew up in a poor area of Glasgow. As he often recalled, there wasn’t much to do other than playing football, getting into fights, and jumping off high walls.
On 6 November 1986, Manchester United introduced their new manager to the public. At that time, the last occasion the red side of Manchester had celebrated a league title dated back to 1967.
When he led his team to the title once again in the 2012/13 season — his 13th league championship — Manchester United moved ahead of Liverpool in the total number of league titles.
Ferguson is the longest-serving manager in Manchester United’s history, guiding the club to more than 30 domestic and international trophies, including 13 Premier League titles, 5 FA Cups (1990, 1994, 1996, 1999 and 2004), and 2 Champions League titles (1999 and 2008).
In the 1998/99 season, he brought all three major trophies achievable in a single season into Manchester United’s trophy cabinet. These achievements earned Alex Ferguson an audience with Queen Elizabeth II, who bestowed upon him the title of “Sir.”
Thank you for everything, Sir Alex Ferguson…
@MadridXtra With Arbeloa, Real Madrid’s form is getting worse every week. As long as Arbeloa stays, the league title will remain a dream for Real Madrid.
@FabrizioRomano Real Madrid don’t seem to have any clear game plan or tactics. What is Arbeloa even working on with them in training? They practically handed the title to Barcelona with their own hands.

My predictions for the Champions League Round of 16 draw 👀
•Paris Saint-Germain vs Chelsea
•Barcelona vs Newcastle United
•Galatasaray vs Tottenham Hotspur
•Atletico Madrid vs Liverpool
•Real Madrid vs Sporting CP
•Manchester City vs Bodo/Glimt
•Atalanta vs Arsenal
•Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich
How do you think the matchups will shape up?
@Craig_Johnno@NFFC I didn't understand what Lucca was doing in the first half; he couldn't hold the ball, couldn't shoot, and couldn't stay on their feet.
@MayankUTD I really like Sesko's style; he has qualities that set him apart from standard strikers, and he will develop even further at Manchester United.
Benjamin Šeško has played just 93 minutes across 6 matches since Michael Carrick took charge, scoring 3 goals in that time.
In the Premier League, no player who has come off the bench has scored more goals than Šeško.
Manchester United increased their points tally to 48 by beating Everton away from home, and in the race for Champions League qualification, the gap to third-placed Aston Villa has been reduced to three points
