पश्चिम चंपारण के होनहार एथलीट सेतु मिश्रा ने एशियन अंडर-23 एथलेटिक्स चैंपियनशिप में भारत के लिए 4×400 मीटर मिश्रित रिले में स्वर्ण और पुरुष 4×400 मीटर रिले में रजत पदक जीतकर इतिहास रच दिया। ऐसा करने वाले वे बिहार के पहले खिलाड़ी बन गए।

आज लेह में आयोजित एक अन्य महत्वपूर्ण बैठक की अध्यक्षता की, जिसमें लद्दाख की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत तथा पारंपरिक कला के संरक्षण, संवर्धन एवं प्रचार-प्रसार से जुड़े विषयों पर विस्तृत चर्चा हुई।

बैठक में परिवहन, पर्यटन एवं संस्कृति संबंधी संसदीय स्थायी समिति के माननीय सदस्यों के समक्ष केंद्रीय संस्कृति मंत्रालय तथा लद्दाख केंद्र शासित प्रदेश प्रशासन के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने क्षेत्र की सांस्कृतिक धरोहर को बढ़ावा देने और पर्यटन के माध्यम से उसकी राष्ट्रीय एवं वैश्विक पहचान को और भी सशक्त बनाने के प्रयासों पर प्रस्तुतीकरण दिया।

इस दौरान स्थानीय पारंपरिक कला के संरक्षण तथा उनसे जुड़े लोक कलाकारों को प्रोत्साहन देने से जुड़े विभिन्न पहलुओं पर भी सार्थक विचार-विमर्श हुआ।

सरकारी अस्पतालों में जरूरी दवाओं की आपूर्ति और वितरण के मामले में बिहार लगातार 22 महीनों से देश में पहले स्थान पर बना हुआ है। यह सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं को निरंतर बेहतर बनाने के प्रति NDA सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता का ठोस सबूत है।

स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्र में माननीय पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री @NitishKumar जी के कार्यकाल में हुई अभूतपूर्व प्रगति को अब माननीय मुख्यमंत्री @samrat4bjp जी और स्वास्थ्य मंत्री @Nishantjdu जी द्वारा तत्परता से आगे बढ़ाया जा रहा है।

परिवहन, पर्यटन एवं संस्कृति संबंधी संसदीय स्थायी समिति के माननीय सदस्यों के साथ लद्दाख दौरे के दौरान आज लेह में एक महत्वपूर्ण समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता की।

इसमें लद्दाख में राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों के विकास एवं रखरखाव, सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में सड़क संपर्क को और सुदृढ़ बनाने तथा आधारभूत ढांचे के विस्तार से जुड़े विभिन्न विषयों पर विस्तृत चर्चा हुई। इस दौरान सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में रणनीतिक दृष्टि से महत्वपूर्ण सड़क परियोजनाओं की अद्यतन स्थिति के साथ-साथ स्थानीय लोगों के लिए बेहतर कनेक्टिविटी और सुविधा से जुड़े बिंदुओं की भी समीक्षा की गई।

बैठक में केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्रालय, सीमा सड़क संगठन (BRO), भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस (ITBP), भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (NHAI), राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग एवं अवसंरचना विकास निगम (NHIDCL) तथा लद्दाख केंद्र शासित प्रदेश प्रशासन के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने भाग लिया।

The Gauhati University NSS Cell, in association with Narangi Anchalik Mahavidyalaya, observed Van Mahotsav 2026 (1–7 July) under the theme "Let's Make Hills Green".

As part of the celebrations, an afforestation drive was organised on 5 July at Dandoral, Sunapur, along the Assam–Meghalaya border. The initiative was inaugurated by Dr Ranjan Kr Kakati, Secretary, University Classes along with Dr Lakhimi Gogoi, NSS Programme Officer, Narangi Anchalik Mahavidyalaya and Dr Sashi Prava Devi, NSS Programme Officer, GU Campus Unit, in the presence of enthusiastic NSS volunteers.

Adding to the spirit of the campaign, Vice Chancellor Prof Nani Gopal Mahanta also planted a sapling at the VC's office, reaffirming Gauhati University's commitment to environmental stewardship and a greener future.
