@WillaGoodfellow That’s horrible that they kept prescribing them despite how they affected you. Yeah I wouldn’t remember if I didn’t have all my medical documents
Do you celebrate or do something on the anniversary of your diagnosis? I got diagnosed with #bipolardisorder 5 years this week during a #manic episode.
Getting the diagnosis was really helpful, is it weird to celebrate that?

@bipolaritycheck Yes lots of people only take lithium, valproate etc without an antipsychotic and are stable. It’s depends on each person. Just important to discuss with your doctor and be slow if you are coming off them. I personally find quetiapine helpful with lithium so I stay on them.
Amazing article worth reading. Selenas documentary is also so raw and real. I know it will help people feel less alone and that these conditions are manageable. I can relate a lot.
Most people couldn’t make us move our Dec. cover early. @selenagomez, who drops an incredible documentary tomorrow, isn’t most people.

@AbuseMh @CaraLisette I had the same experience with my care co and psychiatrist. Both great and help with my bipolar but said they aren’t qualified to treat Ed’s. I didn’t realise how common this is!
@CaraLisette Yes! I don’t understand this at all, like it’s all mental illness? I have bipolar & my CMHT have supported me for bipolar but my psych & nurse have said they don’t know how to treat EDs so I was referred to ED team alongside but had limited support due to being a higher weight.
Trying to scare people into recovering from their eating disorder is often totally ineffective because one of the main symptoms is not feeling sick enough in the first place. It didn’t make any difference to me being told how unwell I was because I could always have been worse.
#bipolardisorder What is your favourite bipolar memoir? I am looking for something to read, even better if it shares the experience of someone with bipolar type 1. I have read a few already including Marbles, An Unquiet mind & Bring Me to light. Any recommendations would be fab!
