@Jess_inthewild The NABC Banders’ Study Guide mentions amputation in cases when the tarsus is broken and is “hanging by a thread.” Otherwise it emphasizes other options (including rehab and euthanasia) and it mentions a few considerations that might be relevant to a decision.
We’re starting to see a lot of exciting start-of-season posts from banding stations and research projects, and we love it! As you share your work on social media, ensure that you always put out the best version of yourself. Our photo guidelines can help! https://t.co/ZGOoD7O2Sl
Thanks to @susannah_lerman and Liba Goldstein for leading this collaborative paper with suggestions for how to support mothers balancing a family and a career in ornithology. We hope it will help plug a leak or two in the pipeline 🧑🍼🧑🔬🦩 https://t.co/cuC6icu2Es
