Found this ambitious drawing I did around age 12. Pretty well executed for a kid with no internet or even international field guides yet. Just cobbling together a solid understanding of hummingbird diversity from magazines and library books.
Unexpected fall of Aus-Papua migrants in the ship in heavy rain as we crossed through Arafura Sea today: Pale-vented Bush Hen, Island Monarch, Forest Kingfisher and Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher! Also 5 Sacred KF, Pied Herons and Black Bittern. Crazy exciting birding
A new threat for native fauna in Białowieża Forest - unfortunately it looks like Raccoons are spreading through NE Poland.
My camera trap has recorded this individual in southern part of the Forest, looks like one of first records for Białowieża.
