@StorkVincent Superb Vincent! We were in transit today, so no opportunity of any live coverage. Not the first time HB has appeared here, but that is a great TDF find ππ»
Pushing the boundaries of identification here, but we think this is a Common Tern, captured VERY briefly in the bottom right of this clip, feeding over the canal on #stage10 of the #TourDeFrance today. What a stage for the @BirdsOfTheTDF!
One for the sharp-sighted here. A presumed Little Egret in flight and then landing, followed by another bird feeding on the lake edge just before the end of the clip. Both birds near Orleans on #stage10@LeTour#birds#TourDeFrance
Ostrich at the Tour de France! A captive bird near this morningβs stage. Full marks to @nedboulting for the correct identification on commentary ππ» #birds#TourDeFrance
Excellent to see Greater Flamingos on the coast at the start of stage 2 of @LeTour this morning, over a discussion of local legend Marco Pantani. A great addition to the @BirdsOfTheTDF list! #birds#TourDeFrance
@BEACHYBIRDER Superb. Though in the circumstances (big crash, neutralised stage, no commentary on the final roll in), the producers were probably glad of something positively distracting to show!
Good work by the cameraman to zoom in on this Black Kite, flying over the peloton in yesterdayβs neutralised stage @dauphine. The long triangular tail indicates a kite species, but the tail would be red in Red Kite and more deeply forked @nedboulting @RealStephens@millarmind
A pure stream of consciousness about the existential angst and daily suffering of being a pro-cyclist. A quite remarkable interview.
Chapeau @matmohoric ππ»
