Pushing the boundaries of identification here, but we think this is a Common Tern, captured VERY briefly in the bottom right of this clip, feeding over the canal on #stage10 of the #TourDeFrance today. What a stage for the @BirdsOfTheTDF!

@BEACHYBIRDER Superb. Though in the circumstances (big crash, neutralised stage, no commentary on the final roll in), the producers were probably glad of something positively distracting to show!

Good work by the cameraman to zoom in on this Black Kite, flying over the peloton in yesterday’s neutralised stage @dauphine. The long triangular tail indicates a kite species, but the tail would be red in Red Kite and more deeply forked @nedboulting @RealStephens @millarmind
