We're still not over the Baiter Park mural and thought we'd highlight some more details from the designs to take us into the bank holiday weekend.
If you're out and about in Poole this weekend, head down to Baiter and check it out 😊
Back with Brenscombe Outdoor Centre for their fourth year of Wildlife Friendly Watersports in a row!
During sessions, we teach watersports instructors about the amazing wildlife around Poole Harbour and how both them and their clients can be more wildlife friendly on the water.
The final reveal of the Biater Park mural is here!
We worked with talented students from Arts University Bournemouth to design and paint the toilet block, taking it from drab to fab 👌
Watch to the end for the final reveal, which includes some iconic birds found at Baiter Park.
Last week we met the amazing Poole Sea Cadets! They invited us to present about Poole Harbour's migratory birds and the work we do to help them. What an incredible group of young people... energetic and ready to get involved in shouting out guesses to our true or false questions!
Our friends at Dorset Wildlife Trust are hiring a new Community Engagement Ranger!
The role is based along Chesil and the Fleet and is all about engaging with the public to raise awareness of the incredible site.

We spent some time with the Poole Harbour Commissioners Patrol and Poole Quay Boat Haven & Port of Poole Marina teams for a Wildlife Friendly Watersports session! It was great to teach them all about Poole's incredible birds and habitats and how they can help keep them safe.
Our final Beginner Birdwatching session of the winter season!
This time we were treated to lots of lovely birds including black-tailed godwit, curlew, dunlin shelduck, redshank, shoveler, wigeon, oystercatcher, cormorant, and teal!
So exciting to see 10 glossy ibis busy feeding on worms at Wareham Common!
They've been hanging out there recently and seem unphased by the passing traffic. Milder weather has seen these once rare visitors spend more time in Britain.
We're joining our friends at Litter Free Dorset for the Great Dorset Beach Clean!
We'll be joining them at Lake Pier, 11-1pm, on April 8th.
They have other beach cleans happening across the Dorset coast... Follow the link to see all the event details: https://t.co/smu9iwlI8D
Its a joy to take people out along the coast for our Beginner Birdwatching sessions! In our last session we were treated to thousands of black-tailed godwits swirling around looking for a place to feed as the tide exposed the mud. Its in that mud that they find worms to snack on!
We're popping up around Poole Harbour over the next month with our telescope to show you our amazing coastal birds!
Stop by whilst you're out on your walks and have a look 🔭
See you out there 😊
Fun all round yesterday at Upton Country Park for their Winter Wildlife Adventure Day!
In Upton House we played our Hungry Birds Buffet game to learn about what birds such as black-tailed godwit like to eat before being treated to thousands of them feeding at the bird hide😍
Half-term fun is coming to National Trust Studland with our Gilbert the black-tailed godwit trail!
Can you help Gilbert get ready for an epic 1000 mile journey home?
Pick up your map from the Visitor Reception at Knoll Beach and have some fun 🤩

Some great surf and even greater geese at the 2026 Dark-bellied Brent Goose Surfing Championships! 🤙
Remember when spectating this exciting sport to give the competitors lots of space as they can suffer from performance anxiety which could cost them a place on the podium.
We're gearing up for a fun half-term of events at Upton Country Park!

Did you take part in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch? 🦆🦢🦅
Dorset is currently ranked 30th for submissions and as a county with such amazing bird life we think we can do better!
You have until February 22nd to upload your surveys so hopefully we can rise through the ranks 🤩
