Idk not but this shit kinda implies Mikasa’s agency didn’t matter; it seems she was just a biological key to unlock Ymir’s trauma. Isayama basically turned the female lead into a sacrificial therapist for a ghost who enjoyed watching a tragedy.

Seeing the show go from these vivid, "hopeful" colors to that cold, depressing grey/blue filter really hits different. It perfectly tracks with Eren and the trio losing their innocence and realizing the world is just cruel mess.
