The reason that Fuentes must keep counter signalling Pf is that the cost of being wrong about them for this long is too great.

This isn't just a little "whoopsie". Being wrong here means that you must admit you were slandering men who have been willing to sacrifice everything for our people, men who put it all on the line countless times. Men who have each individually spent thousands of their own money over the years to realize a dream. And men who took that risk and turned it into something unquestionably effective.

This is a huge L and will be an increasingly larger L.

Never put yourself in a situation where you have to apologize for something like this. It will become a dark mark on your honor.

No hot take, no amount of shares, clicks and likes, no mountain of superchats will ever make up for such hits to your honor.

Several years ago I made the mistake of publicly saying something like "Folks should be hesitant about joining PF because of this hiccup they just had". I publicly apologized shortly after for saying this but it is still something I am ashamed for saying. It was just one short comment but yet it is still something I have to live with. Fuentes has put himself in an indefensible position by his wealth of comments over his career. The shame of confronting the totality of it all is too great and he has forced himself into a corner.

It is always better to remain silent with your criticisms of all those earnestly working on this collective project. You do not want to have to live with it later.

Stay in your lane, get to work and maintain your honor.
