The problem I see in the comments is that everyone is blaming the streamer while making the old man look like a victim.

First of all, the streamer is a tourist. Second, he’s using a mic that makes his voice sound loud to us, but in reality, for people around him it’s just a whisper.

The bigger issue is that instead of calmly explaining what the “mistake” was, the old man invaded his privacy, got aggressive, and verbally attacked him. This is one of the worst forms of discrimination—going after someone who doesn’t know your language and can’t even understand what you’re saying. Of course the natural reaction in that situation would be defensive.

Think about it: if you were in his shoes, would you really respond with, “Oh sorry, thank you for teaching me”? No—you’d see someone insulting and humiliating you.

What’s even worse is people clipping parts of the video and framing it as “this foreign streamer came to Japan and caused trouble.” Instead of teaching him respectfully, they attack him and then spread it like a scandal.

In short, there was no sign of proper manners—neither from the old man nor from the way people handled the situation afterward.
