In the past week, Donald Trump has threatened nuclear war against Iran, called for the genocide of 93 million Iranians, publicly attacked the Pope, and compared himself to Jesus Christ.

Recall July of 2024 when every pundit and reporter in American media were urging President Biden to step down due to concerns over his cognitive health.

Where are those voices now? Where are the demands for Trump to be removed? Where is the flood of op-eds and cable news panels and social media posts calling for the 25th Amendment to be triggered?

I am glad the Ayatollah is dead and that much of the Iranian regime has been removed and I have been waiting all week and praying for evidence that it was the IRGC that's responsible for bombing this school.

175 people, most of them girls under 12, were brutally murdered by a bombing, and it is completely ghoulish to pretend this doesn't matter or that it's the "cost of war" or that it's justified because the Ayatollah was evil.

It is not justified. It is mass murder. It is a war crime.

You're telling me that the best military in the world backed up with the best technology and the best intelligence couldn't properly differentiate between the IRGC base nearby and the girls school?

Some of you are clinging so desperately to defending this war that you're dismissing the slaughter of little girls because you apparently lack the strength to overcome your cognitive dissonance.

This is why proper military planning is essential. This is why going through Congress is essential. This is why winging it and saying "fuck it, we'll do it live" is not a responsible military strategy.

Some of you really need to dig deep and ask yourselves why you're apparently fine with ignoring the slaughter of children as a necessary cost for a war that still has no clear objectives, no exit strategy, and no longterm plan for what comes next.
