How lacking in detail the guardian and times reviews were for Sense and Sensibility! The photography and shot composition was delightful and tasteful without being distracting. Smiled all the way through.
@BBCNews I'm not stockpiling based on the possibility of an exhausted Russia deciding to invade: I'm stockpiling because every farmer globally is having a terrible time atm, and I foresee food shortages in the next few years. I think THAT is far more likely than WW3.
@wavespeed_ai It's a pity hat the AI couldn't keep track of the windows in the shot from 0:04-0:07 - a wall turns into the floor, so the camera does a 270 rotation, and the surface the character is walking on should be a wall.
You probably would have noticed his if you actually used blender
"UK to warn citizens to stock up on food amid threat from climate crisis and hostile states"
This is pathetic and up there with "considering banning disposable BBQs". This is trying to blame the public for their own possible plight, after a series of governments have failed to take proper action to address the climate and ecological crisis. The primary fault here, is seeing the climate crisis as just some temporary bad weather, and once it is over, we can get back to business as usual, and forget we're living in a climate and ecological emergency, which is going to get worse and worse. Stocking up on tins, is what you do, in case there is a short term TEMPORARY food shortage. Not a long term emergency, creating an unliveable world, in the words of the UN Secretary General, which is going to carry on getting worse and worse unless we stop burning fossil fuels.
LET'S GET THIS CRYSTAL CLEAR, WHAT THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS IS AN OPEN PUBLIC INQUIRY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE CLIMATE AND ECOLOGICAL EMERGENCY ACTUALLY IS, AND A PROPER STRATEGY TO ADDRESS IT, PUTTING PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC FIRST, AND NOT PROTECTING THE INTERESTS OF OLIGARCH AND BIG CORPORATIONS.
There are plenty of expert assessments of the challenges we face like the @nebriefing, experts like climate scientist Professor Kevin Anderson, part of the National Emergency Briefing, who can lay out what the situation is, where we are heading, and the broad parameters of what we need to do.
Instead, over decades, governments have told us they accept the science and have been formulating strategies to deal with the climate crisis. But I am familiar with the science the necessary measures, and nowhere does it say build massive Data Centres, that consume massive energy, have massive carbon emissions, consume huge volumes of water, extract more gas and oil from the North Sea, promote consumerism, expand airports, and pursue maximum economic growth. No the science tells us, we must NOT do these things, no do more of it.
It seems very clear now, that all the main parties except for @TheGreenParty and their economic advisers, fundamentally misunderstand what the climate and ecological emergency, means for our societies. They claim to understand it, but as ALL their policy, is completely in the opposite direction, clearly they do not understand it.
This is why we need an urgent open and public assessment of the climate and ecological emergency, to find out what is the government's understanding of this emergency, what the leading experts and science says, and why are they not heeding it, this threat, in a realistic way.

@Western__Dragon@PlayStation@Sony It wasn't made for consoles 10-15 years ago. It released in 1995. There never was a disc. It came on a SNES cartridge. It has never had a US release before.
You can also get it on GoG if you'd rather.
@TheMeldrew I would be a lot more convinced that they were friends who'd known each other for 10 years if Ryan hadn't left that gap after saying 'my good friend' for Abdul to say his name. Made it seem like Ryan had no idea what his name was.
@i_am_a_fossil@BBCNews@UKLabour Harder to keep the country going when most farms are facing low yields and can't grow the food we need to, you know, survive. But hey, at least if society collapses, we won't have to pay all that inflated debt.
@PinkRubberDuck0@BBCNews Weather is the day to day, climate is long term weather patterns. The weather this week is cold, but the pattern is trending warmer.
This has been your primary school science lesson of the week.
@_SatanWatch Volger and Tritter both try to cash in and are immediately cancelled for being the only thing more abhorrent than a drug addict - a billionaire and a cop respectively.
@MetroUK Shenmue 4 is so left field i n the current gaming climate that I choose to believe he doesn't care what the gamers think and that the count has a sincere love of forklift gameplay and virtual gatchapons.
