America needs The PROCTOR Act - The People Require Our Congress TO Read Act. I am not at all convinced our representatives read the legislation they vote on. We deserve to know they are not spending all their time in Congress fundraising and politicking.
The owner’s son described a gun that was not there. Witnesses who saw the chase did not see a gun pointed. The kid did drop something and try to pick it up as he ran. Taken altogether that means…the defense successfully used that as a pretext to suggest he pointed the gun at Chow’s son.
Simple physics suggests it is very difficult to point a gun at someone and simultaneously get shot in the back. Be a serious person.
You can agree with a kid getting legally killed over bottles of water if you see it as an opportunity for incremental extermination. This is why they can never imagine a scenario where Black people have a right to self-defense. Also explains why they love the 2A, but are ok with Dems restricting legal access to guns in urban areas. Meanwhile almost every 14yr old in WV has a weapon.
Yeah this is all you’ve got. I believe juries reach wrong verdicts often. Even with White people. Heck I think OJ received the wrong verdict. Breonna Taylor was killed, officers got off, no riots. No riots after Trayvon. On a regular basis we peaceably accept verdicts we don’t like. J6er’s didn’t like an election result, chaos. Instead of taking ANY accountability, even those who assaulted police officers…you blame the FBI. You love that Floyd riots because it affirmed what you believe. What I primarily object to is your assertion that this was the right outcome because it is your clearly preferred outcome. Blacks are often lectured about lack of self-control, and yet, Rick Chow is justified by you for killing a kid over bottles of water.
Never said it was a crime to chase anyone. You, however, are incapable of looking at any set of facts and making a determination that Black people and liberals ever have a right to defend themselves. Of course if I am being chased by someone, I have a right to stop them from chasing me, especially if I am innocent of what they are accusing me of. It’s absurd to suggest my right to self-defense begins at the moment the person I am pursuing decides they no longer want to be pursued. Thats just idiocy.
I get the art of creating reasonable doubt, which the defense did here. But the defendant has a compelling incentive to lie based on the evidence. The state’s witnesses do not. And of course you believe jury’s get it wrong. You certainly believed the jury got it wrong in Derek Chauvin’s case. Bottom line: for whatever reason this was the outcome you preferred…but it had nothing to do with justice.
@housewivesluvr@TheBrancaShow But that’s not what you argued. You argued the owners had Black fatigue and racial stereotypes so their behavior is expected of any reasonable person. Which is ridiculous.
@TheBrancaShow@ImagineDragin There is no evidence Rick Chow knew the 14yr old had a gun until AFTER he was shot. And again…the defense conceded he wasn’t even a thief…but for social media you’re making the extraordinary leap he was an attempted murderer? Witnesses testified they never saw a gun.
@TheBrancaShow@ViralStepz I would use lethal force. But that question doesn’t apply in this case. The kid wasn’t following anyone. The kid was being chased. And you’re claiming he was an attempted murderer meanwhile the defense had to concede he wasn’t even a thief.
@housewivesluvr@TheBrancaShow So you believe you have a right to shoot my kid, who wasn’t raised according to any urban stereotypes, out of suspicion they may fit a stereotype caused by an adult my kid, nor myself, have ever met? Does that really make sense to you?
@ViralStepz@TheBrancaShow Because the self defense continuum doesn’t start when the kid pulls a gun…it starts when the owner is chasing the kid. Moron.
@housewivesluvr@TheBrancaShow Great! All little girls & boys should stay FAR AWAY from White men. The stereotype suggests they can’t help but to insert their penises in underage humans.
@housewivesluvr@TheBrancaShow This is the exact argument BLM is making. America has no RIGHT to act on their biases…especially when you are dealing with individuals and unique circumstances.
@housewivesluvr@TheBrancaShow Except he didn’t try anything. The owners son admitted on the stand he didnt steal anything. This young kid didnt try anything.
