Today, my heart is full.
News has come that Pope Francis has passed from this life into the arms of Christ. I find myself grieving the loss of a friend—a man whose humility, warmth, and deep love for Jesus shaped me in ways I’m still discovering.
Rest in peace my Friend
God entrusted the Ten Commandmetns to a murderer. And as the first Christian in heaven (the thief on the cross) reminds us, there is nothing you can do that is so bad that God’s grace can’t overcome it.
“The greatest thing is to give thanks for everything. He who has learned this knows what it means to live…. He has penetrated the whole mystery of life: giving thanks for everything.” Albert Schweitzer
The only infallible proof that we are in communion with the mystery of God is the active love we show to those around us. My brother or sister is thus the visible and efficacious sign—the sacrament—of God's invisible presence.
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”…Howard Thurman
Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter
everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that
change forever how we experience life and the world.

“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.””
Zephaniah 3:17 NLT
