@virgilwalker I wonder if you expect real data here?
Most Christian women will default to “submit” because we desire to obey Christ…
So I asked my husband his thoughts. He said “all three…it just depends on the day.”
I pray, by God’s grace, one day, his answer will be “submit” *full stop*
No one should be more outspoken against professing Christian men who abuse their authority by denigrating and mistreating women than Christians who firmly believe in biblical headship.
How can I, who have been forgiven so much, withhold it from those who would ask for mine? Trust and a restored relationship may still need to be evaluated based on the fruit of repentance, but I pray for a heart that is ready to forgive.
I would rather be guilty of being bamboozled by an extremely convincing display of godly repentance than to withhold forgiveness and reconciliation from one to whom God Himself had already granted it.
@DrLoritts Be careful. Jesus said many would think they did good, even mighty deeds in His name who actually would be cast out and thrown into hell (Matt. 7:21-23). What God does on the inside absolutely matters.
When my kids start fighting with each other, yelling to make their point and unwilling to hear the other side, we make them stop talking and take a little time out. Maybe Twitter could take a lesson from my 5- and 3-year-olds? #justathought
Extending his perfect grace to us, JESUS, the creator of the universe, became a man and lived a PERFECT life, was crucified, died on the cross, and then, HE OVERCAME THE GRAVE! Let us celebrate that today and give him all PRAISE! Put your trust in Him.
He is Risen 🙌🏻

Oh soul, even when you don’t see anything of joy or fruit, then must you choose to rejoice and praise the Lord! For He is always good, always worthy. https://t.co/osbRV1G9HK
"Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food...
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
GOD, the Lord, is my strength."
Hope can be found alongside grief!
