Our girls team of Janell, Sydney, Liza, Sienna, Brielle, Sabrina, and Delaney, as well as Owen and Stephen competed at the New Prairie Semi-State today.
Janell [10th- 19:19] improved on her Sectional and Regional times to advance to the State meet in Terre next week!
Way to go BC! Girls team, Owen, and Stephen advance to Semi-State! Both teams beat our projected team seed going into today and improved our average team times from Sectionals last week!
Sectional sweep! The Janell Robson led the girls team with a time of 19:22. The Owen Kottkamp led the boys team with a time of 17:59. Big team races by every runner, including 2 girl and 3 boy freshmen! Regional meet will be next Saturday at the Amphitheater.
New Prairie Invitational doesn’t disappoint. Girls finished 7th out of 22 full teams in Class AA with Janell Robson 3rd overall. Boys finished 8th of 28 full teams. Sydney Ishmiel, Owen Kottkamp, and Stephen Hershberger ribboned with top 40th finishes. Jonah Fleming 35 for JV.
1st place sweep at our home invitational. Girls had a strong 32 point win over 2nd place by going 1-2-3-5-7 and boys won on a tie breaker with a freshman PR as our 6th man and a big finish from a senior to take 2nd overall.
The "Duck Track Club" comes up just short in its 4 x mile world best attempt, running 15:52.05 at the Oregon Relays. World best is 15:49.08 by Irish squad from 1985.
