Today, I place before the people my 10 ‘Protigya’ for Bengal.
My commitments span every pillar of governance, strengthening support for women, youth, farmers, landless agricultural labourers, and the elderly; advancing education and healthcare; ensuring housing and piped drinking water for every household; strengthening administration; and transforming Bengal into the Gateway of trade for Eastern India.
Through these pledges, I reiterate my resolve to sustain the momentum of progress with renewed vigour in the fourth term of my Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar, and to further strengthen Bengal’s position as one of the leading states of the nation.

The manner in which the Election Commission has singled out and targeted Bengal is not just unprecedented- It is deeply alarming. Even before the formal notification of elections, more than 50 senior officials including the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DGP, ADGs, IGs, DIGs, District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police have been summarily and arbitrarily removed. This is not administrative action rather this is political interference of the highest order.
The systematic politicisation of institutions meant to remain impartial is a direct assault on the Constitution. At a time when a deeply flawed SIR process is underway and over 200 lives have already been lost, the conduct of the Commission reflects a clear bias and an uncomfortable submission to political interests, continuing to put the people of Bengal at risk.
Supplementary electoral rolls are still not published, in clear disregard of the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s directions, leaving citizens anxious and uncertain. Meanwhile, senior officers from critical agencies like IB, STF and CID are being selectively removed and dispatched out of the state, pointing to a calculated attempt to cripple Bengal’s administrative machinery.
Why is the BJP so desperate? Why this relentless targeting of Bengal and its people? What satisfaction do they derive from forcing citizens, even after 78 years of Independence, to stand in queues and prove their own citizenship?
The contradictions in the Commission’s actions expose its complete collapse of credibility. It claims that removed officers should not be assigned election duties, yet within hours, the same officers are sent out as election observers. The appointment of the Commissioners of Police of Siliguri and Bidhannagar as observers, without even putting replacements in place, left two vital urban centres effectively headless. It was only after this glaring lapse came to light that rushed corrections followed. This is not governance. It reflects chaos, confusion and sheer incompetence being passed off as authority.
This is not incidental, it points to a deliberate design to seize control of West Bengal through coercion and institutional manipulation. What we are witnessing is nothing short of an undeclared emergency and an unpromulgated form of president’s rule driven by political vendetta, not democratic principles.
Having failed to win the trust of Bengal’s people, the BJP is now attempting to capture the state through coercion, intimidation, manipulation and the misuse of institutions.
I stand in complete solidarity with every officer of the Government of West Bengal and their families, who are being targeted simply for serving the state with honesty and commitment. Bengal has never bowed to intimidation and it never will.
Bengal will fight, Bengal will resist and Bengal will decisively defeat every attempt to impose a divisive and destructive agenda on its soil.
.@BJP4India has not pulled a single punch. They weaponised @ECISVEEP to erase legitimate voters through the fraudulent SIR process.
👉 63 lakh names have already been deleted.
👉 60 lakh more voters have been put under adjudication.
👉 200 precious lives have been sacrificed in their reckless bloodbath.
And yet, when even this massive electoral fraud failed to improve their sinking chances, BJP has now gone for the final, desperate strike. In a last-ditch attempt to rig the polls, they are getting administrative officials and key police personnel removed or transferred by the dozens, without consulting the State Government even once, and without citing a single reason.
But let the Delhi Zamindars hear this loud and clear. You can delete names. You can transfer officers. You can import hundreds of observers. You cannot delete the will of the people of Bengal.
I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the dastardly, cowardly and utterly reprehensible attack on our Hon'ble Minister Smt. Shashi Panja. Her home was vandalised and ransacked. Our party workers and supporters were mercilessly beaten. And she herself was physically assaulted, with stones and bricks hurled at her, leaving her injured.
A serving Cabinet Minister was attacked in broad daylight by BJP goons emboldened by their Prime Minister's presence in the city. This is not an attack on one woman. This is an attack on every woman of Bengal. Bengal has seen this before. In 2019, from Amit Shah's rally, the bust of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was vandalised and desecrated.
This is BJP’s culture. These BOHIRAGOTO BJP ZAMINDARS want to import their politics of PROVOCATION to Bengal. They want to destroy peace. They want to spread fear. This will neither be forgiven, nor be forgotten.
Bengal will not tolerate BJP’s SAFFRON GUNDAGARDI.

Over 150+ people reportedly died during the SIR voter verification process after standing in long queues under extreme stress. Yet there has been no acknowledgement from the Prime Minister. Every life matters. #BoycottBJP
I am pleased to announce that our government intends to constitute soon five new Cultural and Development Boards for the Munda (ST), Kora (ST), Dom (SC), Kumbhakar (OBC) and Sadgope (OBC) communities.
These communities are integral to the vibrant fabric of Bengal. My heartiest congratulations to all of them.
These boards will protect their unique languages and traditions while ensuring better education, healthcare, and jobs. They will safeguard customary rights and bring further socio-economic growth.
Since 2013, we have established many such boards for our weaker communities, ensuring their all-round development.
Our commitment to Ma, Mati, Manush means, we remain dedicated to ensuring no community is left behind. Our goal is simple: to bring a smile to every face through inclusive progress and unwavering support.
Jai Bangla!
Another step towards inclusive Bengal.
Protecting culture, creating opportunities, and empowering communities — this is governance with heart.

He came. He saw. He left. That, in its entirety, is the sum total of Mr. Vanish Kumar's much-hyped Bengal visit. The CEC had no answers to the inconvenient questions surrounding the unfair and unlawful deletion of genuine voters from the final electoral rolls, nor could he clarify the fate of the 60 lakh voters arbitrarily placed “under adjudication.” He failed to provide any meaningful recourse or even outline a clear roadmap regarding the publication of supplementary lists and the inclusion of genuine citizens who have been wrongfully excluded. But as history has always shown, no one remains above the Constitution forever.
But those who believe themselves to be above the Constitution inevitably face the long arm of the law. Today, expressing clear displeasure over the functioning of the Election Commission, the Supreme Court of India has issued decisive directions that Appellate Tribunals be constituted, comprising former Chief Justices of High Courts and former High Court judges, to hear appeals against exclusions; supplementary list be appended to the final voter list published on 28 February 2026; and technical disruptions in the ECI portal prior to March 7, 2026 be rectified immediately.
This is nothing short of a stinging rebuke to the Bangla-Birodhi BJP-ECI nexus and a moral victory for the Maa, Mati, Manush of Bengal. In light of these landmark developments, I placed before Smt. Mamata Banerjee our humble appeal to conclude the dharna at Dharmatala, which she graciously accepted. But this is not the end. It is only the beginning. For the next 50 days, we will continue this battle on the streets, in the courts, in the Parliament, and among the people until the Delhi zamindars are uprooted from every single booth in Bengal and thrown out with precisely the contempt and fury they have so thoroughly earned.
A few days ago, Amit Shah addressed a rally at Mathurapur, where he presented several data points, most of them misleading, and many of them outright false. I visited Mathurapur today to set the record straight.
Not surprisingly though, the Home Minister's rally had more empty chairs than it had attendees. The "Poriborton Yatra" had not even gathered momentum before the "Bishorjon Yatra" already began. What a fall from grace for those who pride themselves on being the "world's largest party."
This party commands the unquestioning loyalty of Central Investigative Agencies. Central Forces under their thumb. The Godi media amplifies every lie without question. A compliant section of the judiciary is at their disposal. And now, constitutional bodies and offices, the Election Commission, Governors, and even the President's office, are all tilted in their favour. They have everything. Except the one thing that actually matters in a democracy. The trust and support of the people.
And that is something no Bangla-Birodhi Zamindar can coerce, intimidate, bulldoze, or disenfranchise their way into. Today's historic turnout at Mathurapur should rob these Delhi Babus of their sleep. Because this is not even the full film yet. And the writing is already on the wall. Keep your one-way tickets back to Gujarat and Delhi ready.
Khela Shesh.
We say this with all due respect for the Chair of the Hon'ble President of India. It is with profound alarm and deep disappointment that we have witnessed the highest constitutional post in this republic being used to parrot BJP's political propaganda and malign Bengal. What we heard was not a constitutional address. It was a political speech.
We would ask the Hon'ble President, where is this voice when Adivasi communities are subjected to relentless atrocities across BJP-ruled states? Where is this concern when BJP's own leaders make dehumanising and deeply offensive remarks against members of the Scheduled Tribe community, including elected public representatives? Her silence in those moments has been deafening.
The Chair of the President of India commands respect that transcends party lines, and it is precisely because of that stature that the office must be kept above the fray of partisan politics. We therefore respectfully request that the Hon'ble President grant an audience to a ten-member delegation from our party.
We wish to place before her the ground reality of Bengal, address the misconceptions that appear to inform her view of our state, and present a full and factual account of what the Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkaar has delivered for the welfare and empowerment of our Scheduled Tribe brothers and sisters.
